The iPad 11 having an A18 would be absolutely insane value for $349. Especially with the supposed tariffs, I highly doubt Apple's going to cut us that much slack. A18 11th gen will prolly be $449.
I dont think we'll get 2 ipads, one with apple support and one without Simply cause it'd be better at that point to just sell the 10th gen as the one without
2 codenames indicate the Wi-Fi and cellular models. The iPad 10th gen has 2 codenames: J271 & J272. The M2 iPad Air has 4 codenames, 2 for each size: J507, J508, J537, & J538.
Ill wait for the price drop on ipad 9th lol. Still a good ipad. My mom got the 18.2 update on the 7th gen and it feels like new. The ipad 9 and 10 is all we need.
I've been wondering about this too, and the only 2 options they have are the A17 non-pro or slapping an M1 in the regular iPad. The Mini is a 60hz screen in a smaller body that most likely can't support an M series chip due to heat but the regular iPad could. The M1 is a 4 year old chip Apple would use a cut down chip like the M2 in the iPad Air with its 9-core GPU (not 10). The M1's for the base iPad could get their M1 with a 7 Core CPU 3P/4E and 7 core GPU that were probably binned and didn't make the cut for the Mac during the M1 run but would be perfect for the base iPad and I bet there is a warehouse full of those somewhere in Taiwan.
i think they wont update the ipad next year purely due to the fact that it'll be a crazy budget to sell at that price with a better chip. if they do, it is a win for everyone but they will have to support the new apple pencil. better to not update and sell the older accessories more and then upgrade forcing people who are locked in the ecosystem to upgrade the accessories too in the future
I have a feeling they may use the leftover 8 gigs m2 chips from the mba m2 8gig they stopped selling this year, this way apple saves money, cost remains same or maybe 399$, iPad Air with m3 or m4 launched and iPad mini gets the unique phone like feel that apple can claim.
Sounds like you should work at apple just the thing you need to be secretive about Apple products shhh You would be a great teammate for Apple But you have to be careful about the Apple leaks😊
Maybe they won't upgrade it and just leave it to languish for a while until future chip generations move on a bit and then use the A17 Pro to bring Apple intelligence to it.

Apple is trying to get ahead of the game by manufacturing in India and Vietnam
@ there’s going to be tariffs no matter what country the product is coming from
@@PieStudios true. Some higher than others. Purchased my upgrades now before all that happens
I fully expect it to be $500
@@NarcolepticRaccoon7 most companies have already left China. Apple is late going into India not "ahead of the game"....

Ikr like iPad 9 is such a good budget tablet or iPad and iPad 10 ain’t that budget but also very powerful and premium for me.

m1 iPad normal is crazy tho.. one generation behind the current air
The dream at least M1 or M2, at least 90Hz and at least 128GB

Wrong!
I can finally afford ipad 9 😂
Or you just make money money
Problem solved 😂
They need a mini size base ipad. The iPad mini should just be rebranded to what it really is, an Air Mini.
What? Lmfao
💀💀
ipad wasn't suppose to be a mini sized gadget as when it first came out

i this will be the case. Putting M1 or A17 seems like a terrible idea from a business perspective

How about ipad 10th gen
