Lovely video. Nice choice of music as well - pitched just right and not too intrusive. Thanks

Really enjoyed this video Nigel. You must have been really determined with all the trials and tribulations that you experienced. And what a nasty knock on your head. Ouch looked nasty. Glad you completed it in the end. What an adventure.

Surprised you didn’t take trekking poles. I never do any trail without them. Takes so much strain off the knees. Looked a great trail! PCT next maybe? 😅

Ah, that is a fair observation and once the dust had settled and I had time to reflect on the journey that was one of my conclusions. Have done some of the lesser US trails in the past and in the some of the mountains the PCT passes through but for some reason it does not really appeal to me. Have many more trails to do in the UK and maybe the odd one else where. Thanks for your continued support of the channel. Cheers, Nigel

@@AmblingTrails I’ve just bought a pair of MSR dynalock ascent poles. Awesome trekking poles. Do you mind me asking how old you were when you retired? You look pretty spritely.

Nigel, this certainly seemed full of multiple challenges, and I was rather surprised you came back to it after returning to the U.K. I liked your feline company at around the 30 minute mark. This is not my idea of a comfortable trail (I'm not good with constant sun/heat, and I don't like trails that require constant looking down for foot placement, which seemed to be the case for long sections of this). I prefer the U.K. trails, but it was interesting to see somewhere I'll never go myself.

Thanks Ryk for taking the time to provide the comment, totally understand your viewpoint. Back to the UK trails for me but I did enjoy the contrast and certainly appreciate even more what I have.
