On Paul Rosenberg's podcast for Curtain Call 2 release, Eminem talked about how he was watching so many serial killer documentaries while writing this album & using accents so he can bend the words to make them fit his rhyme scheme. I think that's why this album is like nothing he had ever done or will do in the future (plus being newly sober)

But if your going to consider that, then you have to give real consideration the watches and the fact that at the end of video, he is back in the asylum. Maybe he never left & it was all in his mind? Maybe parts of the song are a prequel & others are after. Maybe Em was just getting goofy with time. still dont know why ya gotta be such a pedantic buzz kill.

in a way, if you think about what people do while under the influence, you see how much they have no control over their actions. They don't know what they're doing. They are not the same person they are when sober. It doesn't really help you much if you come across someone hurting people while they're so out of it they're not in their own head, but ... I dunno ... just a perspective shift into another person's shoes.
When listen again listen to Dr. West skit 1st. ❤️🔥 It’s mad crazy & makes you understand why Em says this song is metaphor for all the wild ish Em did when he was heavy addict. There are literally things we think of as iconic that he has no recollection of doing. You can tell how real his friendship is w/50 when you watch him jump in to save Marshall when his mind goes blank if they’re together. That’s why his circle is so small & tight bc even after all this time the drugs are talking to him.
The creepiest thing about this song is how he’s whispering ‘eeeeevil’ over the beat at the end x

It’s probably my favourite album of his. Despite the criticism, he does some incredible things with wordplay on this album.
