So is the theoretical game play loop 1. Convert all matter and energy in galaxy into sciene 2. Start.new game with carry over 3. Repeat until carry over science allows you to start with all research unlocked 4. Repeat until repeatable research allows for levels of efficiency so high you cant finish a game in a lifetime (of your PC)
And we are back with some more low-framerate program. You can just have a blueprint with 15 blank ILS all of which demand a full batch of foundation. Ive had the orbit thing aswell. It happens when the launchers are blueprinted with an orbit that does not exist when they get pasted. The once that werent shooting probably had orbit 3 selected originaly. The absorption of sails with be going down in the near future as more nodes have filled up their area.
As it is I think a modern PC would melt trying to render a Matryoshka doll of shells, so the stupidly big one is probably enough. All powered by a giant ball of fusion at the center of the system. Although, I'd love to also see a black-hole accretion disk system that could produce similar radiation levels, it would just be flavor at this scale. While it would be fun to see a non-planetary focused DLC for DSP, it is built solidly around stuff on planets and big freaking dyson spheres. And there's nothing wrong with that.
Would love to see what ridiculously hyper optimized shenanigans Francis could do to Stationeers. Unfortunately the gameplay is a bit too different from the games he normally play I think…once you’re able to just survive the rest of the gameplay don’t encourage much of anything else.
Sorry to say this Francis, but even after your carpel tunnel session, there are still many solar sail launchers that are not only not firing, but are not even pointing the right way while those around them work properly...
Francis, the record for science per min is 1 million white cubes per min, i have a save that was given to me that i can send you on discord. It can run on my laptop lol, i think it will work fine on your computer.
That planet looks amazing On a side note do you get more FPS/UPS if you disable the Solar swarm view ingame too? If you needed to shoot the solar sails faster, you could Proliferate the solar sails, that should double the shooting rate. The reason it likely didn't have orbit selected is because you didn't have a solar sail swarm ring configured. typically you can shoot more while aimed in different direction due to tilt, spin and angle. Wish the game would allow you to set a preferred orbit for the sails and then if it can't it'll shoot at another orbit it can reach. Can't wait to see this finished, wonder if the devs would like your save game at the end to see if they can optimize anything?
10k spm definitely isn't the record, I saw a single planet blueprint that did over 50k. As for mods, maybe back up your save then try? There is one that does performance optimization that is not insignificant. It won't be fast but will be faster. There is another, bullettime, that let's you change the game speed so, for example, you could run at half the UPS and double your fps. Not an actual gain, but actually moving around without it being choppy helps a lot, then run overnight to actually progress.
Didn't bothered to check. But did anyone actually build Dyson Sphere? Game is cool and all. Looks great. But it's hard no when it can't even handle it's title project.
You can and it has been done. However his is the most absurdly large one possible. I'm really not sure if anyone has ever fully completed one of those. Probably, but I've never seen it.
Yup, I managed a double layer - before the Dark Fog update. Ran at 13 FPS before the game imploded. Dark Fog is seriously hard on the system. That said, my current game hasn’t hit Mission Complete yet, and am running at 50 FPS with maxed DF in Passive mode. Ouch.
Are you recording and playing on the same system? Have you thought about getting a “streaming” pc to do the recording? Would take a significant burden off the gaming rig when playing these memory & cpu intensive games
Recording uses a dedicated encoding chip from the GPU. As he isn't doing anything stupid with OBS (alerts, chat, 3d animations, running pixel dogs etc), overhead from OBS is trivial. Streaming PC is for streaming, for recording it's pointless.
Dish-nyland is looking more like a dandelion, one stiff breeze and all your photon collectors go poooof! :D
Still patiently waiting for a Factorio playthrough. I really want to see what sort of monstrous space platform Francis concocts.
There was one before, but I will be very interesting what FJ does with Gleba
@@RaukGorth I'm curious too...that planet is a nightmare! 🤣🤣
@@Phelix22 For real, I lost count of how many times i had to jump start my Gleba base after the fruit ran out!
@ for real…I had to completely redesign my gleba factory like 4 times to get it to work 😂
Yeah I'd absolutely love to see Space Age here.
11:21 missed one centre of the screen and 3 more at the top of the screen. I'm sorry :(

That's still theoretically possible even within a single save.
I appreciate you breaking the game because Id otn have the patience to do it. Its been a lot of fun to watch, take it as far as it can handle!
your tenacity is absolutely mindblowing.
dont think theres a single game on this channel able to run at 60 fps 😂
Hey what about Subnautica. That one worked just fine :)
@@FrancisJohnYT you've got me beat there!
Factorio, build as big as you want, I want to see your base that drops below 60 UPS
@@GimbleOnDew Hover a medium sized blueprint over Aquilos ocean with super force build mode and it drops to like 20 fps. But maybe they've fixed that.

10:04 OMG FINALLY I WAS SHOUTING AT YOU SINCE THE LAST EPISODE
Loving it, keep pushing production until you're all out of frames.
19:57: 15 fps ... better? holy crap! Admitedly, better than 9fps but still ...
Me, watching this video at 2x speed so the frames are normal
Everytime I watch these...I throw my dyson sphere away...this is to impressive
as you move from the mid game to the end game. put all inputs to max, it helps. you wouldn't think it would, but it does

Dishneyland... its a small world after all.
what game are you considering for next series?
Aurora Borealis? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the galaxy? Localized entirely within your Dishneyland?

Gravy Dish
If your computer isn't emitting smoke...are you really playing this game?
Whats with the soil pile going always up?
when dark fog units are killed they can drop soil pile, Francis has a farm for fog so soil pile keeps being made
Didn't bothered to check. But did anyone actually build Dyson Sphere? Game is cool and all. Looks great. But it's hard no when it can't even handle it's title project.
That’s what is helping in the vid

Unless I understand you wrong, yes it can be done. Its quite manageable as well.
HOLY SH*T! I just started this game... i have about 10 buildings.... will this happen to me too?
could You research like 50 more drones on mecha and make them super fast to build these gigantic builds instantly?
This game is now a glorified bitcoin miner you're leaving overnight
Kind buried the lead with the thumbnail, eh Francis?
11:22 2 more on the left without orbits selected

You don't have a social life, now do you?
I get out once a week, I have no choice if I don't I go a bit crazy if I don't socialize every so often.
Pointless comment
