Trying to keep from breaking more stuff. Storage drawers I picked up from Target. A little flimsy and not as good as I thought but it will work

you should get some foam to put in between each model to keep them from scraping against each other when you move them, you can get it pretty cheap and its pretty easy to cut

This is how I store my model trains that don't have their own box. Those that have a box or won't fit in the drawers go in an under-bed storage tub. Either way, it is best to put bubble wrap on the bottom on the container to protect the wheels from rolling. I stack the gondolas and flat cars in the drawers since they're so short

I've seen people put bubble wrap on the bottom of the drawers to keep them from rolling around

My experience with those (I have singles not the double) has not been great. They break the runner edges of the plastic under load. Maybe you’ll do better. I’m thinking of making replacement drawers out of light timber.

You're layout isn't that small if you like it you don't have to change it if you're content and it's still more exciting then mine is rn but I'm gonna get some expansion packs soon so it'll soon be as big as yours!!!

Maybe add some names on the diesel's 'Arry and Bert so you can tell them apart and I think how I tell them apart is Arry has a thin beard and Bert has a thick beard.
