👩‍🎤 My daughter is also Type 1 diabetic. In the beginning she didn’t take it seriously until she ended up in the ER several times so the doctor took away her drivers license. It took her 1 year to learn how to plan ahead before the state of California gave her back her drivers license. I can’t express enough how important it is to plan ahead. 🤙 I say good on you young man figuring out how to accommodate yourself in your career as an actor on stage for a good length of time. I can tell you that your mom is a bit relieved 🤗

Agreed. I've completed multiple marathons and other endurance races (Triathlons etc.) and my main message is to embrace the chaos and to accept imperfection in management.
Personally I find that during exercise, it's one of the few times things (relatively) behave themselves!

Almost anything yes. After 41y with diabetes, I'd say it could have been worse and once you accept it as a small limitation and make self-control a routine, you'll lead a happy life.

It’s simply due to the risk of workplace dangers. But yes I’m sure he also has as many plans in place as he can to manage his diabetes. I think film and tv sets can be a little easier than plays because worst case scenario they can stop shooting and call for paramedics relatively quickly whereas it’s harder to catch in a play performance and harder to stop as well. Depending on his roles he also may have specialised breaks just to check blood sugar and maintain it (sorry if that’s poor phrasing). I’m assuming him being a lead in Mr Jones, McMafia and Happy Valley all allow him to have more say and control than an extra with diabetes would get.
