Dear @Cricut, Kay is the reason that I bought my CricutJoy half a year ago - she is a great, excited brand ambassador, keep sponsoring her! :) @Kay: loved your video, so many great ideas
So I once learned that it's correctly pronounced puh-kahn because the etymology of the word is Algonquin. The Algonquin word is pacane, meaning a nut that needs to be cracked with a stone. So if you're following the origin of the word, that's one way to go.
I say puh-CON. I think it’s one of those regional things like pop and soda. I was born in the Midwest and live in Southern California. Great video. It was so calming and satisfying. ♥️🏆
That was so delightful to watch!! Seeing your excitement at the adorable jars and the glow up was so good! I loved the classical music, and cleaned out my bedside drawer while I watched (perfection!)
Girl!! I need to reorganize SO bad! It was so beautiful but the last year of neglect has my linen and bathroom cabinets a HOT MESS. Thanks for the Fall refresh inspiration! Oh! and my pantry! ;)
Here in the Midwest my whole life, I say "peh-CON"...or therabouts. I think I've heard about 5 to 6 different pronunciations tho! 😂 Love the little Cricut designs! The pantry looks beautiful! ❤
Hi Southern transplant here, born and raised in Louisiana. Puh-Kahn. Not Pee-Can. Thank you for sharing your granola recipe because I buy pretty much all of my mixes at Walmart which.... seems inexpensive at first but if you eat trail mix and granola mixes the way I do... 😅 Edit to ask: Any recommendations for dried fruits and yogurt-covered fruits? cranberries and raisins. That's the struggle for me.
Thanks for sharing, Kay! In Louisiana we call them puh-KAWNs just like you said in the video when talking about the pecan pie sticker. But some of us will say, PUCK-awns. Never pee-cans or pee-kawns 😊
Pee- can is a Southern pronunciation. I say puh- kaan despite living in the South. It is considered the proper pronunciation of the word. (A pee- can is something you put under your bed if you can't get to the bathroom. (Get it? 😂)
Great video. It looks great. Well done. The only things I wouldn’t like are the bamboo containers & boxes, as I hate the colour brown & find it a depressing colour. I can’t do healthy eating, as I suffer from Gastroparesis & am never hungry, ever. I mainly live on cheese, Haribos & salted caramel fudge.
With going carnivore I've found out all the oxalates in plants were actually building up, my body has been dumping them which has been causing symptoms on and off. Almonds are one of the worst offenders (spinach also but thankfully I never liked that - I would say chocolate was my primary consumption haha). If you want to read or watch on the subject look up Sally Norton. Knowing what I know now, it apparently explains some of the weird symptoms I've had over the years and all it was is oxalate toxicity. Not everyone is sensitive to them, but if you find yourself having some unexplained things going on I would look into it. I def relate to all the gut stuff though, with carnivore I'm not getting all the bloat and nasty GI stuff anymore. I do think eliminating grains was a huge bonus.
I usually say "pea - can" unless it's butter "pea - con" ice cream... I have no idea why that particular use of the word has a different pronunciation.

I love my cricut too! That was such a cute labeling project

Looks great.

Love how it turned out and thanks for the granola recipe!
Puh-Cohn (rhymes with John)
I’m a native Texas that grew up picking pecans in the Pecan Grove planted in the bottomlands of my family’s 180 acres.
Now I see the importance of the organic chemistry text...labels...NaCl. Great idea!

I love this! Those containers look so cute with the pictures! I say Pe-con for pecan, just how I was raised!
I always enjoy your videos! We have an “eat this first” basket in the pantry and in the fridge.
In Texas, and I think all through the South, it’s puh-cahn! A pee-can is a portable toilet 😂!
🥰 Bamboo containers and Hello Kitty 👚. Pantry 👀 👍. 🥰 Cricut Joy and the designs on the container labels.
The utility shelves by the stairs are the greatest idea ever!
I say both, peacan, and pe-cahn. Both ways are delicious.
And I remain envious of your pantry.
Here in the Midwest my whole life, I say "peh-CON"...or therabouts. I think I've heard about 5 to 6 different pronunciations tho! 😂
Love the little Cricut designs! The pantry looks beautiful! ❤
I didn't know that flax seeds grew into pretty flowers so thanks for the botany lesson!
Beautiful blue flowers

Cleaning like that is an affirmation of our abundance. I cleaned my bedroom closet and yarn stash yesterday.

"puh-KON" No one is peeing in a can! LOL!!!
“You pee in a can, you eat a pecan.”
Martha Stewart
Could you share a link for the wall shelves in the stairway please? They would solve my lack of storage space!
I love how everything looks!! That was so fun to watch, I say both pecan ways but I mostly say neither because I hate them. lol.
For one second I was wondering if it was an ACNH video with the debate on how to pronounce Pecan 😂😂😂
Native Floridian here. We say pecahn. The only people I have heard saying pee cans were from Georgia.
I live in yar mouth nova Scotia Canada and I will make this cabbage dish Thank You
I say pecan both ways. Same for Caribbean. I can’t pick 🤷🏽♀️😂
In South Africa 🇿🇦 we say peek'n, which is also one of the British English pronunciations
Well done your pantry is lovely . Pecans is pronounced pea cans 😂
Hi, I love your videos. Can you tell me where you got your white shelves by the stairs? Oh, btw, I say pea cans.
Kay❣❣❣

Much like the word Caribbean, the way I pronounce pecan depends on the context 😂
Pea Can for pecan there is no R 😊
In Australia we say “pee cans”

I say pee-kahn but I think puh-khan is the correct way

I say P CANS
