there's something really interesting about the universal viewing experience of watching someone lock in to a virtual boy and almost immediately enter a subdued fugue, audibly losing self-confidence as they straddle the line between real and virtual
Imagine my surprise when I thought the Waterworld reputation bit was an interesting point of comparison, only for for it to be an actual segue into a Waterworld game.
I remember the Wario game was loads of fun, but then again my experience of it was limited to no more than 15 minutes at a time since I was playing it on the display model of my local Zellers. They had somehow rigged it together so that kids could play it standing up and so only my eyeballs hurt, not my spine. Good times.
My dude, thank you for unlocking a nearly identical memory here, down to the Zeller's display. Waiting for their return to cash in all these club Zed points.
Pro Pinball is the most longlived series ever produced with new releases and rich new content every year. From the original game through Fantastic Journey, and all the way up to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
During some sections of this video it was hard to make out TH-cams progress bar and thus I felt a sensation of having shared the visual challenges depicted
never played with the controller in front of the stand, always behind. also you could play it lying down if you flipped the stand around. it didn't click in all the way, but it also didn't rest entirely on your face
I never got the appeal of 3d and always thought felt like the appeal of something being immersive by having some level of disorientating extra layer to focus on being silly. That and I can only see out my left eye means most 3d doesn't really work for me or only works in a half arsed way makes me curious as to even VR when all it does is make me sick and aware of that I'm in the art world. Excellent vid as always.
I believe your stance on rehabilitating the virtual boy is wrong. there is a way to go about doing it, and doing it responsibly; Yes, the eye strain is real, but just like many consumers will GLADLY take the route of emulation even to play much more easily accessable hardware, you can promote this because Nintendo WILL NOT ever provide official ways to pay this thing, and emulation allows for the imsage to be changed to a less damaging palette. Emulators also exist for commercial grade VR headsets in our modern day, and that combination of items outright allows us to LITERALLY rehabilitate the glaring flaws of the virtual boy using far superior hardware. Hell, most virtual boy enthusiasts take the damned things apart and use a 3D printer to make consolized versions of the thing if they're really that allergic to emulation, and even THOSE can correct the red and black color palette!
Haha I get it, the joke is that the games are bad. Games are supposed to be fun and good, but these ones just aren't for some reason LOL! Whatever next? 😂

I think Nintendo's biggest problem was everyone was holding out for the Virtual Man
To think that he didn't talk about how Jack Bros. was a spin off of the Shin Megami Tensei series.
"Slumping back into a more comfortable, but ultimately spine shattering position." Is a powerfully resonant phrase.

I didn't understand what laser time was when I first watched this, now thanks to Bots Master... I still don't know what laser time is
Absolutely love ending a video with that "there you go he's lost in vr" look
Honestly that’s the funniest end to the video I think gamezilla could have done
The Jim Halpert special
Teleroboxer was developed by Intelligent Systems' "Deer Force'. An internal group that only made one other game.
Super Metroid
RIP Sean
You know what? My prison cell really _does_ look nice. Thanks for noticing!
really cool to hear nesyamun on the show, glad you're collaborating with other creators 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I can't believe Sean became the protagonist of the highly acclaimed, Megaten Series™ spinoff game, Jack Bros.

Incredibly glad you suffered irreparable damage to your eyes to make this very video
Sean now trapped inside the Virtual Boy.
Why couldn't have been Richie?
Goodbye Sean
The Infinite Review should come with a warning about potential personality damage
The playstation era was really the epitome of pinball huh

Sean has at last become a Virtual Boy, bravo Nolan
let's go oven. great video, that ending was so sad

Say what you want about Nintendo but burning their logo into the retinas of players is a bold marketing move.
didnt the 3ds also have a warning about potentially damaging children's eyes?
This is the irrelevance I desire from a TH-cam review.
Your retinal sacrifice is well appreciated, the VR Conglomerate sends it's regards.
Virtual boy reminds me of the future we never got, a world in which VIRTUAL REALITY became a form of entertainment for the masses.
ya put the stand on backwards lol, which is why yas had to engage diplodocus mode
Thank god there were banshee bones in frame to distinguish this as a Halloween episode.
the redness of this video is too much

One of like 3 youtube channels I make a point of only watching when I have access to a nice sofa and no distractions
out of all the videos about the virtual boy this is definitely one of them.
As soon as I see a new video, my day always gets brighter. Thanks for another funny video!
the streaks on the stove made me laugh
Better than streaks of balsamic vinegar on his bloody monitor
But is it better or worse than the Bandai RX-78? Christmas is approaching and I can't afford both
Infinite Reviews are kinda like religious experiences
I knew those banshee crisps were trouble
oh boy does it say a lot about contemporary blockbusters if people are reaching for fucking waterworld
Wait, there are youtubers bigger AND stronger!? What the hell am I wasting my time here for?!
Now this is a video.
6:10 what's her name
Did you manage to take the White Base on a successful mission?
Amazing video!!!
That Gundam game looks dope though. Look at the sprites!
Good morning to you too
I never really looked into it, but I actually assumed at least virtualboy games were all 3D, albeit in simple black and red. What a heap of junk
Sorry for your losses Owen.
I like this!
Did you put random candles around the virtual boy to actually add some excitement to these games?
Legitimately got a migraine watching this. Watching your videos now causes physical pain. Congratulations.
And Thank you.
3rd for hatsune miku!!!

I have the quest 2nemulator but it wasn’t great then either
Excellent video. Unfortunately the leprosy i have contracted was not "virtual". Please fix this issue my good man
comment

Haha I get it, the joke is that the games are bad. Games are supposed to be fun and good, but these ones just aren't for some reason LOL! Whatever next? 😂
