To do this you will need to have a controll binded to 'pick block'. For PC players this won't be a problem, as it will probably already be binded to a key but for console etc players just go to your keybindings. I myself use mainly Xbox to play Minecraft but I'm sure this will work on ps and other consoles. I also use down on the d-pad for the pick block binding, what this does is in creative it replaces the block you have in your hand with the block your looking at. To get the egg you will have to run /summon ~ ~ ~ NPC And then use your pick block button on the NPC to get your egg. What the egg does is spawn an NPC that you can change the name and dialogue and insert commands into it for when the player either opens or closes the dialogue box or presses a button in the dialogue box. This works on bedrock edition but I am not sure for java players.

The /summon command is fairly more recent than the /give command, which I used for the video because it is simpler than summoning an NPC and changing a key bind to get the egg, but thanks for letting me know!
