Can I start a new lawn with PRG and then later over-seed with TTTF and KBG to have a tougher and more drought resistant lawn? I’m new at this, any advice appreciated.
You could. Or you could just do it all at once. Tuff Turf from twin city seed is those three and germinates super fast. The Blue Resilience also is a fast establisher but doesn’t have PRG.
I hate it every time I look at. It's all stems and stalks. I have the yellowist lawn in the neighborhood. From the Preferred Seed Company, 50/50 Supreme mix (KB/ PRG) A new lawn that was completely renovated last fall.
Makes me want to go back to my SS1000 lawn!
What's stopping you?
Don’t go back.. go forward with some of these even better blends out there.
Only downside I can think of in my experience PRG is highly susceptible to Pythium
How dare you say the P word! But yes, you are correct.
Yeah, using a phosphite during the season with a preventative fungicide should help ya.
