he was in the era of Figo, Zidane, Ronaldinho,Totti, DelPiero, Henry....and that was the era I fell in love with Football, because of players who ''lived'' football, not played. That era is gone now, and nostalgia still sneaks up on me sometimes. Thank you for everything the great captain of Liverpool,Steven Gerrard, my heart will never forget legend from that era, this will be something to tell my grandchildren :D Time really goes fast....

My friend was killed in a car crash a number of years ago. He was a big LFC fan and I contacted Anfield. Steven signed a photo dedicated to him which was on his coffin at the funeral. Heartfelt thanks to a footballing legend.
The thing I like about Gerrard is that he gave 150% for his beloved football club , his attitude towards the game one was first class. He never moved to the bright lights of London and his head wasn't turned by big money moves , his loyalty his passion was all to see . I wish he could have lifted the title , if one man deserved it ,it was him
