Could it be possible that there is a calculation mistake of S3 at 7:45 ? Shouldn't it be like S3 = 2(1) - 1(4) + 2(1) = 0 ? or am I missing something? Thanks and regards

She didn't claim sigma to be a diagonal matrix. She claimed sigma1 - which is within the sigma matrix - to be a diagonal matrix whose entries are sigma1 and sigma2, then put that diagonal matrix within the sigma matrix. It can be a rectangular matrix.
This is probably the worst math video that I have seen in the you tube because the explanations was too bad and the video was playing at 2x speed normally and the most irritating part of the video is that background music which I thought was really unnecessary because I was not able to concentrate on the topic.

to normalize it you just need to add all the values under root so since it had 1 -2 1 when adding it under root it became 6.
