How Can We Ensure Selfless Service Is Part of Our Lives?

In this talk, Spiritual Master Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj provides spiritual insights on the true meaning of selfless service and explained how we can inculcate it into our lives for spiritual growth. Saints and mystics have always placed great emphasis on selfless service.
Sant Rajinder Singh Ji explained that selfless service is an extension of ourselves in order to help others. It is the recognition, on our part, that God has been gracious and has given us an abundance of something that we can share in order to better the lives of others. Whether it be financial, physical, mental, or any other type, selfless service is offered in the spirit of helping someone with no expectation for ourselves of a of reward. Service becomes selfless when it is offered to help someone out of a sincere desire to alleviate their burdens, and not out of a sense of obligation or because we expect something in exchange.
We should be grateful to God every morning for all the things with which we are blessed. It is this attitude of Gratitude that motivates us to practice selfless service. Selfless service should be done to help others, in order to make them happy, without expecting anything in return.

हमें हर सुबह भगवान को उनकी दी हुई कृपा के लिए धन्यवाद करना चाहिए, यह आभार भरा दृष्टिकोण ही है जो स्वयं को निस्वार्थ सेवा की ओर बढ़ाता है। निस्वार्थ सेवा हमारे जीवन का महत्त्वपूर्ण हिस्सा होना चाहिए और फल की इच्छा न करते हुए हमें दूसरों की मदद करनी चाहिए।
