Have a similar issue on my D130. Replaced everything fuel related, cleaned carb. No change. Found fuel tank unseated on the pivot point causing the pickup to catch air intermittently. Reseated gas tank and she runs great. Wife reported the fuel gauge was on the blink… should have looked there first. She also drives like Mario Andretti cutting the lawn… second clue. Sometimes its the simple things. Out!
Can you provide more details about how you reseated your gas tank and how you realized the pickup was catching air intermittently? Having problems with my D130, I am going to look at the gas tank tomorrow!
@@Mechanical_Mind might be worth mentioning on one of your videos, I watched a pile of videos when I searched "engine, surging", and finally found one that mentioned that as an issue.
Q? My 314 just started doing this, starts fine and will run and drive but will just shut off . After a short time will restart and go again ??? ( points ? )
When it dies on you, if it shuts off instantly I would think it could be your ignition coil. If it sputters and hesitates as it dies I'd think your fuel tank isn't venting.

Hey Mike, glad you found the issue. Yes, I often tell people the fix is usually the easy part. Finding the problem can sometimes be the hard part

I'm not really great with terminology. Could you tell me what "on the blink" means?
@@Stephenklein87on the blink means something is almost done.
I had the same thing happen on my LA145 and turned out to be a plugged air vent hole in my gas cap. Have you seen that before ?
Yes sir. I've seen that many times.

Just fixed my same issue after shop had it for months and couldn't figure it out
Do you have any idea how many videos I've watched that DIDN'T mention this? Thanks for covering it!
