  • This Island is paradise on earth. Onuk Island has several names. Onok Island, Nuk Nuk Island, Nok Nok Island.
Found in the southwestern part of Palawan, Onuk Island (formerly known as Roughton Island) is a hidden spot taking the limelight for its crystal waters and its white-sand beaches.
It’s a great destination for rest and relaxation, and the calm waters make it a great place for swimming.
Onuk Island is a privately-owned island, a property of Mayor Shuaib Astami of Balabac, Palawan. Despite its being private property, it is open to the public, and it has a few rooms to accommodate guests.
If you want to go to the island, approach the local Office of the Mayor in Balabac town. Since Onuk Island is privately owned, special permissions and arrangements need to be made to be allowed to the island.
    Equipment used:
    Camera: Fujifilm X-T3
    Lens: Fujinon 10-24 mm f4
    Drone: DJI Mavic Pro 2

@@jorgemontecillo3715 When I went to Koh Rong 10 years ago, there were just a few tourists and no roads at all on the island. It was as beautiful as Balabac. But today Koh Rong is full of tourists and resorts. The best thing the gouvernment could do, is to declare Balabac as a national parc with restrictions for tourists. I hope Balabac stays as beautiful as it is.

@@Davvvici you should visit Linapacan group of islands. There are 50+ islands in that area and it is recorded the clearest water in the world to swim, also the corals and marine life there are healthy, because of the absense of overfishing, dynamite fishing, good community to preserve the beauty of the area and the remoteness of the island. This area are from Northern part of palawan and there are over 700 islands on that area

That’s exactly how it looks like when it is sunny and there is not much wind! I made some slight adjustments of course, because the videos I’m recording are very flat in terms of colours.. but you can even see from space on google maps that the colour of the water is turquoise around the island :) it is absolutely stunning
