Same for me! Almost 😛 my mother tongue is Greek and i speak English fluently. For some period of time, I stopped watching your videos (it was the period I entered college and was involved with other things), but from time to time I took a glance of you on TH-cam features and was glad for you. Now I came across your videos once again thanks to Eatyourkimchi, and I'm happy to see what a long way you've come! I can hardly wait to start exploring your videos again and look for all the news. Wonderful video, finally someone who isn't afraid to tell it like it is. I feel like a lot of youtubers only make these videos to portray how great they are or how unfortunate they were before and mostly how easy it is to get rich if you "try hard enough" even though they by coincident got famous for some video on youtube... Thanks to TTMIK's advertisement on Sogang's KIP program, I just came back from the best 5 week vacation/learning experience! We just don't know where life takes us.... one thing leads to another and there we are! Thank you for following your passion which led to the birth of this program... which benefitted so many of us! I've just been doing Korean language recently...And after about two months of watching your teaching videos, i landed on this. I'm a 73 year old former (now part time) diplomat with no Asia experience...but in order to keep my mind supple, i decided to choose a language and region I didn't know at all: Asia..In the US, we are swarmed with K-dramas nowadays and i resisted at first, but they are so well done...So, when the experts said: "Older people should learn a NEW language" i was challenged...Since i already speak English, French, Spanish, German fluently and every day...and i learned maybe 10 other languages that i forgot, bu the challenge was to find a language i did not know to keep my brain supple so I decided to go for Korean which was really foreign! I catch your videos a lot. You do an amazing job for the most part. I even tried to book an AirBnB just to know you guys AFTER spending more than your 7 months (2023) but you are STILL booked! Good for you!...But i think i have met a world EXPERT in how to teach languages....you are friendly...open...really likable...but still in control and directed...I keep trying to buy your stuff directily but it always goes thru Amazon...i hope this doesn't diminish your support...when i tried to use your direct channel, USA was not an option.

Your story is amazing. I have lived in three different countries so far and it's the best experience in life. I am fluent in three languages and intermediary in another two. Now, I am learning Korea through your podcasts at SoundCloud. I wake up at 4am to work and walk for 2 miles to get there so I use this time to listen the podcasts. It has changed my life. Thank you for motivating me :D At first, I thought it was all over for me to try to change my life (lol) because I'm in university now, taking the course my parents want for me in a school they also chose for me. They didn't force me - I just didn't argue with them about it. Well, your videos (not just this one) is motivating me to work on the things others would consider just a "hobby", but something I would like to do more seriously for a very long time. It's so cool how you're self-taught in English. Korean is the first language I'm self-learning. And I hope it's possible for be to become as well-verse in Korean as you are in English.

At first, I thought it was all over for me to try to change my life (lol)
because I'm in university now, taking the course my parents want for me in a school they also chose for me. They didn't force me - I just didn't argue with them about it. Well, your videos (not just this one) is motivating me to work on the things others would consider just a "hobby", but something I would like to do more seriously for a very long time. It's so cool how you're self-taught in English. Korean is the first language I'm self-learning. And I hope it's possible for be to become as well-verse in Korean as you are in English.
Thanks for sharing your story, Hyunwoo! I too have a bad memory, I feel like things that I should remember about from just a few years ago now seem like foggy memories that I only remember snapshots of (especially if I only recall the memory from seeing pictures again LOL).
