I have seen some at Walmart and some super target! Your best bet is to find a local oriental super market! You could also make your own It’s just some flower, I did it myself and it was amazing! Best of luck!
I would like to know it should be only the skirts which are supposed to be crispy? Or the skin on the whole dumpling should be crispy too? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I could not find the wrappers shown in the video and I believe wonton wraps would be thicker for the same. Can you please lemme know the better alternative ? Thank you !
I made J Kenji Lopez-Alt's gyoza recipe and I wanted to try deep frying them but my gyoza skin didnt come out as bubbly and mostly crunchy and crumbly. I fried between 325-375 F straight from frozen. Anyone know why this is? Did it being frozen cause this?
I usually deep fry the frozen dumplings at 350F for about 4-5 minutes. Frying time might vary according to the size of dumplings. If you find the gyoza wrappers are not crunchy, suggest trying it with wonton wrappers.
Duck deep fried dumplings with peking sauce is just divine.
Love the addition of engredients!

I can’t find the wrappers. Can I use wonton wrappers? Thanks for such a great video 😌
You can use wonton wrapper however, Wonton wrapper is a bit thicker then Gyoza wrapper. Thank you for watching Elyssa.
Most of the videos shows pan frying method instead of whole deeply fried dumplings. Which one is best? Has anyone tried this method?
I’ve tried both pan fried and deep fried. If you like the crispy coating texture, you should test this deep frying method.
So no flour needed?
Can I put every kind of meat in my dumplings?
Most minced meat works well with dumpling fillings, like chicken thigh, breast, lamb, pork, shrimp etc. Or even tofu minced can be added.

Yes!
I would definitely cook that chicken first 🤢 even when traditional dumplings are made, they ALWAYS cook the meat FIRST.
Thanks for your comment, i was searching if one needs to cook the chicken or not 😅
You should probably learn how to cook first then
