ABR at D tier… Them and AILD literally were dominating the Metalcore genre mid2000s-mid2010s. But I understand the younger generation have exposure to more new bands and have a different take on what’s personally a good band to them. ABR, AILD, Caliban, Parkway Drive were godlike back then
I just found your channel but I would really appreciate if you could check out Saviour. They are a small Australian metalcore band who need more exposure. they are also from the same city and friends with Make Them Suffer. Absolutely stunning band and can also pull on the heartstrings a bit. Love the content man, keep up the great work!
wasn't expecting to agree with pretty much every take on here but here we are lmao. also love how positive you are dude! i'm definitely subbed now, i think you deserve way more
Dude, literally without August Burns Red, you wouldn't have the modern day breakdown. Having Bad Omens as S tier and ABR at C tier, shows that you don't know or respect metalcore.
@@StevenZissimos Super massive L. Just shows you people think with their feelings than with logic. ABR in anything lower than S tier is an L. Bad Omens is good, but they're just a discount Bring Me the Horizon.
Just saw Loathe live last night. They’re absolutely INCREDIBLE. I let it in is an experience of an album. I’d love to see your video essay when it comes out
From that list... Personal opinion S - Loathe, Northlane A - Erra, Silent Planet(Last single was the best i heard from them) B - Phinehas, Bad Omens, Fit For a King, Crystal Lake(Not a huge fan) C - Motionless in White, August Burns Red, Architects(Current), Wage War, Polaris(Not a fan) D - Beartooth, A Day to Remember, I Prevail, BMTH(never liked) Personally my favorite are currently: Invent Animate(Last single ''Elysium'' has became one of my favorite songs in this genre in general), Oceans Ate Alaska(Hikari is my favorite album Instrumentally), Northlane(More of a Discoveries and Singularity enjoyer, but new unique stuff also fvcks), Loathe, Veil of Maya, Novelists(2015-17), Thornhill, Spiritbox, etc... And i really like Holding Absence's first album the most, tho it's a different genre, but their first album's sound is something i need in Metalcore, which is likely coming for Invent Animate. I like Ambient, but i also like Progressive Metalcore and i really enjoy when Metalcore is being progressive, melodic, emotional, brutal and has Ambient elements, basically Invent Animate is my two favorite genres mixed together. It's more like an Ambient Metalcore From classic or semi-classic i'd say: Killswitch Engage, Breakdown of Sanity, As I Lay Dying, After The Burial, Periphery, Phinehas.
@@ClassicPanda963 Yes, but there's such a thing as personal opinion and preferences. I never really enjoyed Polaris at all, they're actually boring to me for some reason, the last album is overrated asf. I agree with some of this but I’m more into deathcore and hardcore than metalcore so the only bands I like on this list are I prevail, phinehas, north lane and crystal lake. All the others I can appreciate but just can’t get into. Oh and august burns red is pretty good in my books 😂
@@Lu1sY4brudy I'm not too familiar with ERRA, but maybe it's because they have both Djent and Metalcore as with Monuments have always been more Djent then Metalcore? I was confused about that as well but chalked it up to mixing up genres

you should listen to currents they’re my favorite metalcore band rn

Haven't started watching the video, but placing ABR in C tier and putting Bad Omens in S tier is already a massive L.

Currents is mad underrated
I agree with almost everything except ADTR is my favorite band of all time. I’d put them in S tier for sure.
If you haven't already, def check out currents
Parkway Drive?
Did you do a video for Nu-Metal bands?
I might do another video soon!
