So I live in Houston just north in Cypress and this last summer killed me. Also, the taxes are overwhelming. I pay more in taxes and insurance that I do in principle and interest. That’s just crazy to me and we’re looking near Knoxville any help would be great.
We already have way too many people here,they have ruined Nashville (decimated it for sure!)😢

The roads look fine when you go to paving it costs more money,!!!
Why pave it tho? With routine maintenance, the road will remain in good condition and I don’t see it being worth spending the money on paving it. A tractor and grading blade to scrape it once a month to keep it smooth and flat is a heck of a lot easier and cheaper than paving in my opinion but I’ve lived on these type of roads before. If your a rural type of individual then you’ll understand but if your an urban individual, then you’ll expect blacktop, but plan on almost doubling your lot cost then cause someone has to pay for all that asphalt!!

If that’s the case, if you’ll leave all your California rules and mindsets in California, then come to Tennessee and pay cash for a few acres and I promise you you’ll be able to build a home on the new property for much less than you could in California but please don’t come here and try to say things like “we do it this way in California” cause you will find yourself unwelcomed real quick but if you learn to live the Tennessee lifestyle, you’ll find the state to be one of the best places in the country to be. The people are fantastic and the state is absolutely beautiful unless your in one of the larger cities

I'd love to move back, but TN is a way overpriced market. Just a bit north across the line in KY, prices are much more affordable.

Most of your competitors show the price of their listings right up front. You are very much out of touch with the times. I am a serious buyer with the ability to write a check for the right property up to $1M. I do not even bother looking at any property that does not disclose the price up front.

@1982MCI I live in a small town in Oregon. So from my research there are only a few states where you don't want to go... I'm a brown man. And when I went to grants pass. I was walking and talking to a local girl. These men pulled up and beat me up. I never even talked to these people. All I knew is that they hand bald heads and lots of tattoos on their bodies when they took off their shirt to beat me up. So yes, racism exist. Cannot deny that. If I would go to Kentucky or some area where brown people don't belong... then I would have bought a place where I'm not welcomed... and now I'm losing money. This is reality.
