Been to over 200 Bama Games since 1991 and Believe it or not, this 1999 Mississippi St. was one of the loudest I ever heard Bryant-Denny Stadium. From Start To Finish. Top 5 loudest. Especially in the 4th.

State had the number 1 defense that year

I dont understand how that 2 pt conversion was no good when he clearly hit the pilon with the football...

Bryant Denny: Where MSU's dreams come to die, apparently.

Yes...1999, 2012, & 2014 they came to Tuscaloosa undefeated and left with a loss.

Years, later, reading this, I had forgotten that Miss. St was top ten in 1981 when they came to Tuscaloosa and lost 13-10

I've never seen another game start with each team blocking the others punt.

I'm a Bama fan but these players from 99 wouldn't even make 3rd string for coach Saban other than Chris Samuels and Milons.

Jay Sweeton Alexander would be playing a lot right now for Alabama.

Shaun Alexander would start during ANY era.

Shaun would have been THE # 1 RB for CNS any year. He’s the best RB we ever had. He was just banged up a lot.
There were 6 players on that squad that would start on any Saban team...
You are missing 3 stars from that season. The fact that you glossed over one in particular is disappointing...

Christopher Oliver no sir I didn’t gloss over Alexander, he was a very talented back and yes he would’ve played for Saban just not as a Starter in 09, 10, 11, maybe 2012 with Yeldon and Lacy and 13, but not 15. And he definitely ain’t the best back Bama ever had. My opinion same as yours, a lot of fans loved him and say that but, Ingram better, Richardson in college better, and Henry is the best ever period.

What about Chris Samuels? He might have been Alabama's best lineman ever!
