Thank you & congratulations on your acceptance! The rental market has changed a lot in the last couple years, but I used centris.ca and Facebook marketplace to find units. I’d recommend using a realtor for peace of mind & its free for the most part! If you want good bang for your buck, the Plateau neighborhood is the way to go. If you want modern and minimum walking, then downtown. Hope that helps!

You can definitely survive without French being your first language (in Montreal), but it helps (socially) A TON to know French. The culture in Quebec is (in my opinion), French first, assimilation.
