The modern way with smps to short circuit a coil with mosfet to provide power is as stupid as havig nuclear power plant that doesnt provide electricity directly, but uses steam to turn turbines? In both cases its unreliably crazy. This what happens when true inventors like tesla does not have a day on the calendar

What is the difference between the different chips I.e. the frequency difference affecting the output current? They seem to be inversely proportional to each other.

esselam aleykum. I watched your 775th video and saw you repair smps. I designed a pfc using ncp1653 IC for the input part, but it doesn't work.I couldn't get it to work even though I checked many times. I would be glad if you help me. If you want, I can share my circuit diagram and values with you for checking.

    Salam alaikum sir,
I have a tv power supply, initially it generates 13v and when power on signal is given pfc circuit enables. The problem here is when it is on standby 13v fluctuates and when 12v bulb is connected on 13v line the bulb goes on and off with very dim light. But when I give the power on signal 13v remain very good and bulb comes on very bright. I hope you give me some idea where to concentrate. It uses FA6A01 ic.

Thanks for the explanations, to understand better the phenomenon of switching, if i apply positive to drain and negative to source of a mosfet, leaving the base empty, will the current pass ? i tried and the mosfet becomes hot, is it shorted ? thanks

      @HaseebElectronics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

in some conditions it will heat up and in some conditions it will not.
if the gate is not pulled down with some 10K or 20K resistance. in that case it may conduct due to some stray capacitance
always discharge the mosfet gate by connect to source using a bleeder resistance (10K to 20K )

Hello. Thank you, again, for another cleary explained video !! .
    I have a request , if I may ! :
I have a TV board where Backlight doesn't turn ON, could you explain how to troubleshoot ?
I got carried away !!! : but I leave the specific problem info here - might help someone. SORRY
Single Board design TP.VST59S.PB813 . It is similar to many others.
TV turns ON and Video is present. Buttons work.
Backlight Strips are working - powered with LED Tester.
So I assume : Standby V are fine, and only Backlight circuit V are not good in ON state.
    LED Circuit :
Located near Main Coil ( has its own too ) with 3 heavy duty Diodes that are 26.5V Stby and 34.5 ON
    Those V are present on QB801 : 15N10-G N-Ch Power Mosfet
    PWM IC ( SN51DP ) : Vcc 12V - OK.
PWM-REF pin5 is the ON pin ( by PDF) : 0V Stby and 2.3V ON * Perhaps too low ?
There is BURN-IN Con. with DIM, 3V3, REF pins :
    REF behaves same as Pin5
connecting 3V3 to REF doesn't light the backlight
CPU is TSUMV59XUS : I tried to find out if CPU is sending the ON signal :
From PDF I found pins with "PWM" - maybe they give the "BL_ON" signal - They don't change V between Stby and ON.
In my opinion : either 2.3V ON signal on PWM IC Pin5 is not enough = CPU fault , or The power Mosfet ? (not sure how to test it)
