I actually found it easier to do everything lower (physically higher) on the neck when I was a beginner, and even a little bit now. There was more room between frets which meant less screwing up and better results using my inexperienced muscle memory.

You're very good, in fact you're a pro. I recognized all the riffs you were playing, but its kind've difficult to follow you because I just started learning how to play, and to make things more challenging for me I have nerve damage in my left hand, so I have to tape 3 of my fingers, but it's working. I'll learn how to get around it. I once saw a man play the guitar with the toes of his feet . How's that for inspiration LoL.

Jumbo frets are your friend…also just cheat. Especially if you’re using a little drive on your sound most situations don’t call fir a full 6 string barre chord so you can use the top 4 or the bottom 3 without having to do the difficult part…

How do you know where all the power chords are/what they are?

You gotta know the rote note and that is the lowest string

You can play a power chord the same anywhere except between the 3rd and 4th string, you memorize their names by memorizing the fret board.

The chord is named after the root note - his index finger in this case.
If the root note is E and your second finger (one string over, full step higher, basically)- it’s an E power chord.
That’s what the other guy said when he said you need to memorise the notes on the fretboard to know.
