Just found an illumineers quest at my Walmart, there was a ton of them available and booster packs and starter decks all available. Not used to seeing stuff in stock like that.

I try so hard to stay away from super expensive meta cards, like $35+ each. I play a emerald amethyst that doesnt run diablo and I've been doing really well.

He's not even the best card in that DECK imo, Bucky is the real power card

I think both are true.
Look at how people have to build their decks to counter it. The cards that dictate how you approach deck building are the cards that are the most powerful.

@@StoneBrandCardsThat’s exactly it. Even ignoring Bucky being cheaper, inkable, not needing to be exerted, and generating more card advantage (all very relevant) it’s also MUCH harder to answer/counter because of Ward. Most of the things that do just happen kill diablo at the same time.

@@yugiohmemes Because they just got two 3-drop Floodborns that are solid (plus a shift 3), adding another TWELVE floodborns to use and letting them consistently force a discard every turn after 2. There’s a reason Aladdin is also a 4-of, and Pegasus is in most lists as well.
Also, Bucky did see play before the new Floodborns my guy. Literally just got top 8 at Atlanta as a 4-of.

blue/steel is being extremely slept on. A lot of top players are already on it yet blue/red emerald/steel are all the talk.

There are plenty of options. Players always do this. They gravitate towards some "broken" strat, claim that the meta is solved, and then whine. Eventually, the brewers explore other decks, the meta shifts, and the entire thing starts all again.

The bias about high end cards like Elsa enchanted and the non foil print of the “prize cards” because you happened to win a couple at the event is hilarious. There will be plenty of the foil versions on market in the next 5-6 months as more events happen and the prices will go down before they ever go up. Don’t buy any of these promos or top cut cards just wait for more to hit the market!!!
