This footage is a bit old. I have been shooting with it for 3 weeks. I do love it. I shot this video with the intent of uploading quickly. Before I put out the real scope cam footage I thought I should use up this content.
Start the process and do yourself a favor start saving up for more scope mounts. You want a mount on every scope trust me! That way you don't have to realign anything and you can take your side shot from scope to scope right in the middle of shooting session And filming even.
I hear you but they are 40% the cost of a whole side shot. I don't even have enough scopes for all my guns. The more I switch the optics around the more I learn about each gun and what to expect from my equipment. My collection is pretty substantial, keeping up on the holds and how each gun performs is becoming daunting.
@@webreakforsquirrel4201 I use that blue painter's tape and write the holds on the tape and stick it on the stock so I can use it as a reference when I come back to the gun.
@@webreakforsquirrel4201 and I feel you those mounts are expensive! There's lots of inexpensive good Scopes out there though......to stop you from scope swapping. Matter of fact most of my Scopes are less expensive then the side shot mount LOL
Hello friend, I purchased a sideshot scope cam, where I install my iPhone 14 Pro. The problem is that I can't seem to align the image properly, as there's always a border or shadow visible. Could you help me? Thank you.
I use an iPhone 4 and an 11 in the side shot mostly due to them having only one lense. I have a 13 iPhone but because it switches lenses beyond 3x zoom it never worked how I wanted. The 11 gives me problems past 4x zoom where if I don't hit record when the image clears up on the screen it will blink a black screen on and off trying to find an image. The I phone 4 give me the least hassle but battery is a problem. That said I still get some ghosting around the edges or blur. I mitigate that by getting as clear of an image as I can around the x hairs and cropping or zooming the video in the editor. The autofocus and digital zoom have trouble with optical glass and the reflective plate inside the side shot. Use as much scope zoom as possible and try not to use the phone zoom higher than 3x. High quality scopes help if the eyepiece is focusable you may be able to tune that for the eye relief seen by the camera.

How long did it take to ship and come in?
I got it from Utah airguns. It came in 3 days. I'm only 2 states away though.
