See how Outer Ring dual carriageway transformed Eastlands?

This road connect Thika Superhighway to the Eastern Bypass in Embakasi. The Outer Ring road was commissioned by His Excellency the President Uhuru Kenyatta in January 2015. It was budgeted at 8.5billion Kenyan shillings which is equivalent to 85million Us dollars. It was upgraded from a single carriageway to a dual carriageway in a bid to ease traffic jam. This road was officially opened by the then Kura Acting but now Director General Engineer Silas Kinoti in July 2017. Initially this project was set to be complete by September 2017.

The county govt is fast asleep regarding cleaning, maybe they'll pay attention the day the road gets flooded..just like Thika Road at Kasarani a few years ago. We may refer to it as Outering canal then 😁

Less than 5 years and deteriorated massively. Lack of maintenance by KURA. In 10 years time it will be gabbage.

The difference between KENHA and KURA is like day and night. See how Thika Road under KENHA is clean and well maintained and compare with the pathetic outer ring road under KURA 😅
