I lived my first 6 years above my grandparents' country general store. I am now 60 years old. The store had its own culture and was a very interesting intro to life. One Halloween I was sick and could not trick or treat, so I watched all the trick or treaters enter and exit the store from my bedroom window above. Never a dull moment really. While typing this, I am seeing your grilled cheese which was my favorite comfort food during my early childhood. Also, my parents took our family to beach and lake each summer and still have wonderful pics and films, so I know Jackson will cherish your videos which are priceless. "Future" Tim just scared me! With that being said, Precious Memories 😊
You touched my heart when you said that it would be awesome to live above a store. That was my childhood living over the family business. It was a small independent grocery store and I always could find my parents tending to customers. Lovely memories of my parents caring and connecting to the surrounding community and those less fortunate. Even as a child I noticed. It wasn't just a business. The memories just came flooding back of when she was that age playing at the beach. They grow up so fast and I love that you appreciate every moment you have with Jackson; the love is so evident. Me and my wife and daughter stayed in new smyrna beach during spring break and loved it. It's a little slice of heaven away from all the spring breakers and the traffic. Great video with the family.

Love love love this vlog. Smyrna Beach looks just perfect and for someone from the UK it’s just takes me back to times we came to Florida as kids in the late 70s and early 80s. I don’t know why but it just took me back to those wonderful vacations we had. Maybe it was the Florida rain when it was still so warm but yet raining (unlike in the UK). Such a beautiful place and now definitely on my list of places to stay when we come next. You always give such a great overview of places to visit. 🏖 ☀️

Tim/Jen, talking about sitting on a balcony over a shop, you should stay at the St George Inn at St Augustine. We had a room directly over the fudge and ice cream shop on George St. We loved spending evenings sitting on the rocking chairs on the balcony and watching the people in the busy street below (including the occasional ghost tour).
