I love the skylight on top to let in a view of the sky, but would like the option of larger screen openings all around to create more of a screen room when the weather allows as I travel with 🐈 cats.
I bought one for my Hyundai iload and love it, really spacious and fairly easy to instal on my own, being short I leave the tailgate half up to fit tent over and slide clips in from the sides. Enjoy your camping everyone 😎🚐🚲
Hi. I have never seen the product but am impressed. Having said that. No, it’s not possible to have it stand independently. And yes, you could easily rig up your own poles for the two external corners. This is exactly what I would do I think, after using it as is for some time initially however. Sturdy Poles would help it to flap around less in wind, at least that’s my theory.
Hi Rob, do they make this exact tent to fit a VW Crafter? Or would this fit but to its extreme capacity? (Ie I saw the floor was quite large and maybe adaptable but very tight fit? Thx
I love this I have one and experimented with fitting a full size camp bed int eh back now it is not wide enough but using rocks from my stream instead of tent pegs and it worked full size camp bed fitted for my son and we had certain between us so privacy. I do recommend them. I am trying to figure out how to adapt it for winter too but will see. also I am going to fit a pipe to back of car so I can instantly use the engine to heat the car up while tent attached however want it safe so the pipe would have to be perfect fit. I have a carbon monoxide detector. I have stayed 7 days in my car and I am not a tent person lol but great.

It is designed to fit by pulling it close to the car so the sides hug the van. As long as you use the velcro on the floor to attach the sides and rear of your van, you would be very unlucky for a mozzie to find its way in. If you found a gap somewhere you could always close with more velcro. The flyscreen at the back is mozzie proof.
Kenny that will depend on the size of your minivan. The vehicle cannot be more than around 2 metres high and the rear tailgate it is made for is around 175cm wide and 150 long. We find it does fit a variety of vans, not as well as the Hiace it is designed for but still completely functional. Sorry Steve we do have a rear tent for a Trafic but the rear tents work in conjunction with the tailgate and currently we have no solution for barn door vehicles apart from a Fiat Ducato. We do have some great side tents that also allow you to leave the tent in place when you leave and easily reattach when you return. Feel free to contact us, our details are on reimo.com.au.
Hi Ryan, the Hiace rear tent is made for standard Hiace vans, not the larger Commuter's. The year model would not be a problem just the larger size Commuter model. Sorry!

Hi Julie, it possibly would as long as the height of your van and the width of your tailgate is similar to a Hiace.
Since the whole back is enclosed you can even start the car and use the exhaust to help keep it heated inside.... 😂😂😂😂 just kidding do not do that
