    You should try lashing some paracord to the bottom of your sheath and then looping the other end around your belt loop. Slide the knife iwb and when you go to draw you clear your pants before the paracord lashing rips the sheath off the blade. Works great and makes resheathing easy. It's the only way I carry a fixed blade.

      Yeah I have a trigger guard holster that works like that, it's brilliant.

    I am 5 feet tall and wonder how your sling you demonstrated recently would work on my ANG10?

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It'll work just fine. All you have to do is take up the forward strap a bit. I make these with a generous length on one end with the Bungee tight up on the other so that it's always placed exactly where it needs to be near the shoulder. The end that attaches to the handguard is the one that can be adjusted for very large statured people all the way down to very small statured people.

    What is the blade steel? *edit: Nitro-V, looks little better than 440 stainless, i carry an ESEE4 thats 1095, and it rusts on the edge. I imagine this one will too. Nice blade though.

      I've been wearing this thing non-stop through all seasons and the edge has yet to rust. I keep checking it and the knife is totally rust free.

    So, you’re using Shivworks combat philosophies, but I am unsure of your past training. Have you ever grappled? If you’ve never wrestled or done BJJ, you absolutely need to in order to really grasp the SW grappling concepts. You can’t just rotate your hips in a press or mount scenario. That’s not how it works.

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I unfortunately have lots of grappling experience. I'm amazed I don't have cauliflowers for as many pinch and rolls I've taken. Several years ago I was leaving a rifle class just as Craig was coming in to teach one of his classes. This is back when he was just getting off the ground. To this day I wish I'd gone over and talked with him about covering one of his classes. I think I'll reach out to him right now.

    • @jaykwonzzz
      @jaykwonzzz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tier1Citizen I hope that's the case, because the hip rotation you're referring to is impossible if your hips are unloaded and you're flat on the ground.

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Who said anything about flat on the ground. If we were talking about ground fighting, yes one could not rotate their hips like that.

    • @jaykwonzzz
      @jaykwonzzz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tier1Citizen Ah, your pedantry knows no bounds. You know what I mean. If your hips are pressed flat against any surface, you're not going to be able to leverage the draw that Craig refers to in his ECQC methodology. The odds of being pushed against a wall or the ground are far higher than you being clinched in a car or casually collar tied in open space.
