It happened to me the third time within a year, I have 2FA and I don't have any suspicious subs. This is ridiculous. I got back my account twice but this is unacceptable.

@@noahknowdastuff Once you sent the appeal it would take like 2 days at least and if that does not work going to twitter and yelling at both Twitch and Twitch support on twitter will maybe help.
yeah when that happens file an appeal and when you get your account back change the password and be warry of any sus links or bot accounts because even interacting with bot accounts could get your everything compromised.

They did it because they got your token. There is a cookie that has all that information, it's used so you don't have to login everytime with the 2FA. They hijack that token (twitter, gmail/youtube, discord and facebook are common ones aswell), they use a cookie generator extra on the web browser (essentially a notepad for the browser), they paste the token and they hit F5 to refresh the page. That's it. Obviously, they may not know the password, because that requires you to actually login, but they may add new emails to the accounts, change credentials and eventually change things to the point you can't recover. How they got your token? phishing websites or downloaded apps and programs that do not work, like you double click them but nothing happens, aka Fake programs. Obviously they may actually do things, like retrieving the tokens from your sessions, in some cases they log you out intentionally so you have to log back in.
I did that because I got the same issue botted or automatic activities and someone managed to post something into Twitch DMs and got me banned over it without me posting anything or copy pasted from myself

Did you submit an appeal from the appeal page to get unbanned? Is there any live chat or people I could contact

Some one stole your "session" from your PC. First your PC got compromised. It's not just twitch. It's everything on your PC.
Happened to me Aug 24th and i was unbanned, then literally happened about 20 mins ago again. No 2FA alerts, no emails, nothing

Just a simple "got my account hacked and somehow passed my 2 factor authy" or "I have no idea what got me banned" or a combo of both.
Factory reset your pc bro! u got a trojan or something on there. USUALLY factory resets get rid of MOST trojans and viruses.
