Assalam o alikum I am a student of class 9 and doing the work of networking from class 7 as per your method was not right thats why it doesn't connect i know the full settings and configuration of ptcl.I am not saying that i am perfect but as my experience i can say that i can resolve it...
@@abbasplayz5097 yes it is possible and one of the main point for this is that ping is not only depended on settings but it has different factors so i will help you to configure your modem as per best settings available.Its not applied in instant but you will see improvements in 1 or 2 days.Setting are uploaded instantly and internet also starts to work on the spot but it take 1 or 2 days for company to adjust the newly setting and after wards you can enjoy.i can show the ping i gets of my PTCL its 7 ms - 10 ms...
YEah sir the setting he recommended work on adsl connections only As i was using the same setting on my adsl connection which is now upgraded to vdsl 2 I had to enable fast path to get what i was getting on my adsl but still the stats are not that good and it didnt affect my in game ping much getting massive delay These setting best work for 8mbps connections starting from 4mbps only on adsl i think adsl connection is alot better then vdsl 2 in terms of ping and stability atleast for my area I am still figuring a way to get rid of the delay i am getting right now

AOA .. try to use NETGEAR Orbi router with satellite ( extender) ..I lived in NJ, US ... recently changed my old router with this one ... Used to get the 10-20M (I have 200M connection at home )download from my wireless connection ... now, around 175-200M download !!!!! .. Let me know if u need more info Also, to check if u need to change ur wireless router or not ... first, do the speed test directly form modem .. like connect ur laptop to ur modem ( wired connection )
Assalamualaikum Sir. That guy was talking about G.Dmt. He Enabled G.Dmt (First option) G.Dmt will improve ping and stability of connection.. but its not for VDSL. G.Dmt only support upto 8mbps ADSL2 Connections.
Sir. Love your content. I have 6 Mbps PTCL vdsl2. I get 180 ms ping in a Romanian server on CS GO. This was after activating FastPath, before I was getting 194 ms. How can I reduce this further to 150 ms. Do internet speeds have a huge impact on ping? With Zong 4g i can get 160 ms on the same server.

You shouldn't have disabled the profiles on the right. Just disable all modulations except VDSL2 or ADSL depending upon your connection and it will work.

I checked the G.Dmt(first box) and left rest unchecked and it did stabilize my network but now im only getting 1mb upload, and as i check the AnnexM box, ping increases by like 20ms, more then what it was as default with ADSL2+ (2nd last box) and AnnexM checked
Hmmmm. Ping shouldn’t do that but if it does then it’s a sign of little unstable line. I suggest not to worry about 1mbps upload and keep annex m unchecked.
@@Zuhaa567 if ptcl is your isp, call them and ask them to enable AnnexM as they would increase ur upload and also deduct the increased upload from your download. And at least 8mbps package is required for to enable AnnexM

I am using PTCL VDSL2 25 mbps Connection and it works with this as well i play Fortnite and i get 30-52 ms ping in game. When on VDLS2 Check only First 2 gmt and gmt lite it works like a charm. Just give 1-2 minutes for your router to reboot. When you check the first 2 on VDSL it automatically converts it to adsl connection for time being and when you’re done just check all again and you’ll get VDSL connection back. PS when you check only first 2 your speed will drop. I have 25 mbps connection and my speed almost drops to 8 mbps but it doesn’t matter while gaming. Once you’re done with your gaming revert back the settings to normal.
Sir i need to ask you one more thing just activating fast path disturbs the connection? I have heard from people that when they activated fast path it messed up with their speeds amd had frequent disconnections. I have seen your video in which you used fast path can you please guide me?
It depends on your line Parameters. If they are good, nothing will happen. If they are on the edge the connection might start giving problems. But You can always deactivate Fast Path if that happens.
I have vdsl2 25 mbps and my SNR margin is always in 320-340 range And Attenuation is 120-140 should i go for it? I will have a stable connection with no loss of speed? Right? 😅
You can do following (that people normally do): If possible, and if you ADSL2+ connection then on DSL settings page check Gmdt, Adsl2 and ADSL 2+, uncheck everything else under MODULATION and try. If ping improves then we’ll and good otherwise revert back. Also enable fast path.
I converted my adsl 2 connection some days ago to VDSL. A lineman came to my place he did all the settings but in the end he was unable to make it possible. The problem which my connection was facing that it could not connect to vdsl but rather it connects on Adsl 2. The problem persisted for two days and then that lineman told me to revert the connection back to adsl 2 as it is not possible to convert to vdsl in my case. Please tell me what was the mistake lineman did as i could not understand why my modem could not connect to vdsl. Thanks in advance.
Looks like he didn't connect your line to VDSL card (MSAG) at all, they do it because many times the MSAG is there on paper while it's not installed actually. Or rather one with limited capacity (old repaired one) is installed. So they force the subscriber to somehow voluntarily revert to ADSL and basically save their bosses from trouble of getting caught. It's sad but it's TRUE as I faced it too. Only difference is that I knew why they did it, went to cabinet myself and got the line connected properly. I dont see any other reason why you won't be able to access VDSL. SAD!!
Orange Shots sorry i missed to add that lineman told me my distance from exchange is more than 2.2 KM that is the reason the conversion is not possible. Do you really think that was the case?
Hmmm. Okay. If the Cabinet is more than 1Km (Roughly) than line attenuation can be high and cause some concerns. But if Cabinet distance is less then 1KM then I don’t see any problem on running VDSL. Trust that clarifies.
for gamers, unfortunately there's only so much you can do by tinkering with router settings. the only thing that could really bring down pings in multiplayer games is if every developer provides you local servers, which ain't happening in country like pakistan any time soon cuz majority of us play pirated games which is detrimental to developers hence they have zero incentives from our region
Dude people in karachi get 70 to 60 on any conenction on asian srvers while the same conenction users get around 140 to 130 ping avg on asian servers ping below 100

Hmmm. Your line man is submitting Fake reports. Call PTCL and complaint that no one is coming to attend you at all and they're submitting fake OK reports. If you can physically catch your line man then ask him to replace your cable. That's probably faulty.

@@OrangeShots They are Army sir. They say nothing, even customer care once shouted on me once when I told him to resolve my issue. BTW What I would say is the ping is higher because of cheap and old generation cables.
Dear Tech Robo, you can log in to your profile on my PTCL app or web and find out this info. Otherwise you can call 1218 and find out same, however they might not give you this info. Best solution is to change the connection to your name straight a way.

im so fucking tired of my ptcl whenever i play a game like fortnite or valorant or csgo my ping will sometimes spike from 50ms to 700ms or 1kms and stay there for a while and then come back to 50ms and then again it will spike

Yaar this is actually very bad, I know that in some areas it’s horrible to use PTCL and sincerely I always advise guys to do a good hunt about which ISP is performing best in your area whether wired or wireless and then go for it. I have two internet services. On PTCL ping is 20-28 and speed is good too. Other is Netze (it’s wireless) ping is usually 10-16 ms and speed is 12 Mbps up & down. But sadly reliability is not 100% with any of those. Both have good and bad days. So all in all it’s truly messy some days. Hope you can get a good provider soon boy. 😊

I tried yesterday...and previously I was getting 160ms in Europe server and 120ms in Asia server in pubg....and now I am getting 120 in Europe and 80 in Asia...

You must have an ADSL connection. Upload speed is limited to 1Mbps in that type. However you can activate Annex M. It will increase the upload speed. & it’s free too.
I maintained tick on the first 3 options and removed last 4 starting from "ADSL2 Enabled" and retaining other settings. my ping improved from 200 ms to 177 ms. btw my connection type is ADSL2+. This really helped.
I play fortnite on ptcl on a 8 mbps connection and I used to get 87 ping I used the dsl trick from which I was able to reduce my ping to 60 average 40 at best.

Dear Zaeem what kind of Modem do you have? You can enable VDSL 2 Only if you have a VDSL2 modem and your line is also coming from a VDSL2 card. If there's no VDSL card in your connection cabinet (DB OR DP) you can't enable it.
Bro i have to say something i tried those setting and my ping went 35 to 8 he was right you just have to wait for 2 minutes after those setting you internet will off for 2 mins then it will work

My connection is PTCL VDSL 2, and I am facing some speed problem I guess due to Tp link Wifi Extender. Actually speed is better I guess but in speed test it shows 15 Mbps connection only 8 Mbps

I checked the G.Dmt(first box) and left rest unchecked and it did stabilize my network but now im only getting 1mb upload, and as i check the AnnexM box, ping increases by like 20ms, more then what it was as default with ADSL2+ (2nd last box) and AnnexM checked
Hmmmm. Ping shouldn’t do that but if it does then it’s a sign of little unstable line. I suggest not to worry about 1mbps upload and keep annex m unchecked.

@@Zuhaa567 if ptcl is your isp, call them and ask them to enable AnnexM as they would increase ur upload and also deduct the increased upload from your download. And at least 8mbps package is required for to enable AnnexM

I am using PTCL VDSL2 25 mbps Connection and it works with this as well i play Fortnite and i get 30-52 ms ping in game. When on VDLS2 Check only First 2 gmt and gmt lite it works like a charm. Just give 1-2 minutes for your router to reboot. When you check the first 2 on VDSL it automatically converts it to adsl connection for time being and when you’re done just check all again and you’ll get VDSL connection back. PS when you check only first 2 your speed will drop. I have 25 mbps connection and my speed almost drops to 8 mbps but it doesn’t matter while gaming. Once you’re done with your gaming revert back the settings to normal.

It depends on your line Parameters. If they are good, nothing will happen. If they are on the edge the connection might start giving problems. But You can always deactivate Fast Path if that happens.

You can do following (that people normally do):
If possible, and if you ADSL2+ connection then on DSL settings page check Gmdt, Adsl2 and ADSL 2+, uncheck everything else under MODULATION and try. If ping improves then we’ll and good otherwise revert back. Also enable fast path.

I converted my adsl 2 connection some days ago to VDSL. A lineman came to my place he did all the settings but in the end he was unable to make it possible. The problem which my connection was facing that it could not connect to vdsl but rather it connects on Adsl 2. The problem persisted for two days and then that lineman told me to revert the connection back to adsl 2 as it is not possible to convert to vdsl in my case. Please tell me what was the mistake lineman did as i could not understand why my modem could not connect to vdsl. Thanks in advance.
Looks like he didn't connect your line to VDSL card (MSAG) at all, they do it because many times the MSAG is there on paper while it's not installed actually. Or rather one with limited capacity (old repaired one) is installed. So they force the subscriber to somehow voluntarily revert to ADSL and basically save their bosses from trouble of getting caught.
It's sad but it's TRUE as I faced it too. Only difference is that I knew why they did it, went to cabinet myself and got the line connected properly.
I dont see any other reason why you won't be able to access VDSL.

Hmmmm, actually distance from cabinet matters (DB or DP), how much is that? Distance from exchange is irrelevant.
Orange Shots the distance from DP ( distribution pole) is around 50 meters . And i am not sure about the distance from cabinet.
Hmmm. Okay. If the Cabinet is more than 1Km (Roughly) than line attenuation can be high and cause some concerns. But if Cabinet distance is less then 1KM then I don’t see any problem on running VDSL. Trust that clarifies.
for gamers, unfortunately there's only so much you can do by tinkering with router settings. the only thing that could really bring down pings in multiplayer games is if every developer provides you local servers, which ain't happening in country like pakistan any time soon cuz majority of us play pirated games which is detrimental to developers hence they have zero incentives from our region

Hmmm. Your line man is submitting Fake reports. Call PTCL and complaint that no one is coming to attend you at all and they're submitting fake OK reports. If you can physically catch your line man then ask him to replace your cable. That's probably faulty.

Dear Tech Robo, you can log in to your profile on my PTCL app or web and find out this info. Otherwise you can call 1218 and find out same, however they might not give you this info. Best solution is to change the connection to your name straight a way.

im so fucking tired of my ptcl whenever i play a game like fortnite or valorant or csgo my ping will sometimes spike from 50ms to 700ms or 1kms and stay there for a while and then come back to 50ms and then again it will spike

Yaar this is actually very bad, I know that in some areas it’s horrible to use PTCL and sincerely I always advise guys to do a good hunt about which ISP is performing best in your area whether wired or wireless and then go for it.
I have two internet services. On PTCL ping is 20-28 and speed is good too. Other is Netze (it’s wireless) ping is usually 10-16 ms and speed is 12 Mbps up & down. But sadly reliability is not 100% with any of those. Both have good and bad days. So all in all it’s truly messy some days.

Why are you unchecking the connections on the right? Just check 1st 3 options on the left and uncheck the rest..... you'll get lower ping

I tried yesterday...and previously I was getting 160ms in Europe server and 120ms in Asia server in pubg....and now I am getting 120 in Europe and 80 in Asia...

You must have an ADSL connection. Upload speed is limited to 1Mbps in that type. However you can activate Annex M. It will increase the upload speed. & it’s free too.
I have 25mbps connection and its vdsl2 .. and the horrible thing is that ping is 50+ and the gaming experience is so bad on pubg and COD mobile ..

I maintained tick on the first 3 options and removed last 4 starting from "ADSL2 Enabled" and retaining other settings. my ping improved from 200 ms to 177 ms. btw my connection type is ADSL2+. This really helped.

On the Bump page (Home page) of your modem, check connection type. PTM means VDSL, rest it will be mentioned ADSL OR ADSL2+

I play fortnite on ptcl on a 8 mbps connection and I used to get 87 ping I used the dsl trick from which I was able to reduce my ping to 60 average 40 at best.

Dear Zaeem what kind of Modem do you have? You can enable VDSL 2 Only if you have a VDSL2 modem and your line is also coming from a VDSL2 card. If there's no VDSL card in your connection cabinet (DB OR DP) you can't enable it.

That means VDSL2 isn't enabled at back end and card in your Cabinet is not VDSL. Call 1218 and confirm, if so, you can't use vdsl2 buddy.
