Be very careful with the laser. It's a class 3r laser ( similar to weapon light lasers) and it's over 10 times as powerful as the old arkfeld laser ( 0.4mw vs 5mw ), or any other laser pointers you typically buy. It is powerful enough to cause permanent eye damage if not used carefully. It's a bit concerning that olight themselves advertise the use of the laser for training pets without any warnings or caveats.
Does the laser activate before or after the click? For instance, can you use the laser by holding / releasing the button juuust before the click rather than clicking it on and then clicking it off? I would use this to point to places on computer screens in training and don't necessarily want to click it on and off every time. Thank you.
The laser activates after the click and not before. I have tried getting the laser to work in a hold and release manner (momentary press) and it doesn't appear to do that. If you hold the button down, after a 1 second, the green laser just turns on and you must click again to turn it off. Thanks for watching, please consider subscribing if you haven't. 👍
Sure thing. Thanks for the response. Maybe I'll try tapping twice and holding the second tap so that the laser turns off on release. Might have to work on the timing so as not to activate the white light.
on most olight flashlights that sets a 3 minute timer for the light to go off but not in Arkfeld. On the Arkfeld, it behaves the same way as a double click.
True if you start from "on." If you start from "off" then it either activates the white light with the laser or you can release to turn off the laser... depending on fast you tap. (Just got mine in the mail today.)
Thought mine was damaged because the lens was pushed slightly in at the bottom. Appears to be a design change. Haven't seen any other TH-cam reviewer mention this.

Great review of the Arkfeld Pro. I got the zombie but now want the natural white...have to wait for one of their sales though.
