I think the show could've gone on longer if Jim stayed with Karen. For me, it seemed like once the slow burn between Pam and Jim finished, the show lost a lot of the "compelling" story to keep me as interested. If Jim was with Karen for a few seasons, continuing to build the tension with Pam, I think that would've made for a good long story.
Jiego Perez imo they made no sense together. the things jim were looking for in a partner were not karen, and vice versa. like when jim & karen were auditioning for that corporate job in new york and jim told her she could leave and she did, you could tell he would have preferred her to stay anyways. little things like that, to me, showed that they weren't on the same page. and they clearly wanted different things. i think they would've lasted for a little bit, but not for long. they didn't have the chemistry that jim and pam have and dragging their relationship on would've just been a waste.

There’s really nothing wrong or bad with Karen. She’s awesome: beautiful, sense of humor, rational, personable, obviously competent and intelligent. It’s just that Jim and Pam were made for each other

Its understandable that Karen would be insecure and discuss what is going through his and her head, she needed reassurance. The office has done something truly unique here. Usually whenever there's a conflict of love interests, the third party person (Karen) is always hated in favor of the couple that should really be together (Jim and Pam). But my first time watching the office, I actually thought to myself "I'm totally okay with them being together, maybe even moreso than Jim and Pam". Like, when does that ever happen in a show or movie and work really well lol.
When I was in Oki, they had a vending machine in the motor pool office. It never had anything extraordinary in it. Just chips or the occasional pop tart. One day my food got stuck in the machine so I called the number on the side. While I was on the phone with them, I suggested they change out some of the chips with ramen or other various items so they did. The vending machine was empty for the rest of my time there. Don’t get me wrong, they restocked it, but Marines were eating all the food while they worked on the trucks.

I always forget Chip Esten was on The Office. I got to meet him once when I was an extra in a crowd scene of hundreds on an episode of Nashville. It was at the end of a very long day of shooting, and instead of going through the 'principals only' area, he walked out with all the rest of us, shaking hands, chatting with folks very amiably, even took a photo with one older lady who had broken the 'no cell phones' rule of our contracts. She said she didn't know how to work the camera, so he took it from her and took the selfie for her himself. I told him how much I had enjoyed him on Whose Line and he gave me a fist bump and said "Aw, thank you very much."

I always forget Chip Esten was on The Office. I got to meet him once when I was an extra in a crowd scene of hundreds on an episode of Nashville. It was at the end of a very long day of shooting, and instead of going through the 'principals only' area, he walked out with all the rest of us, shaking hands, chatting with folks very amiably, even took a photo with one older lady who had broken the 'no cell phones' rule of our contracts. She said she didn't know how to work the camera, so he took it from her and took the selfie for her himself. I told him how much I had enjoyed him on Whose Line and he gave me a fist bump and said "Aw, thank you very much."
As much as Jim and Pam was what I always ended up liking the best and was so pure, Jim and Karen had an amazing connection.
I like how defensive Karen was at first, but as soon as she heard Jim's joke she was smiling

I confirm what Jim/John said, Karen/Rashida Jones speaks French so good, she knows some of them ! She has natural French reactions, and her beautiful American accent that doesn't mince their pronunciation ! For a French guy like me, that was a pleasure to hear some "bon français" in my favorite show !

His French is very good - He studied 6 months in Aix-en-Provence and has many friends in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, where he spent some time in a host family. A few years ago, a colleague of mine met him in a small hardware shop where I live in Switzerland and he didn't even recognize him at first - especially in a little town in a small hardware shop. Until they chatted a little and Bradley asked him "T'as vu mon dernier film?" My colleague was confused and said "Non pas que je sache" and Bradley said "C'est American Sniper, tu devrais le voir! *jokingly*)

@@H3cTicBenj45 Oh yeah, I watched some videos about celebrities speaking French, Bradley Cooper knows French very well, as much as Hugh Laurie (one of my favorite actors, Dr House ♥), Joseph Gordon-Lewitt, Emma Watson and Johnny Depp (married with Vanessa Paradis for 10-15 years). And Bradley Cooper never lies, American Sniper is indeed a very good movie ! But the better one in French is Jodie Foster, she graduated from the lycée français of Los Angeles and she has no accent at all, that's very impressive how she masters our language !
