It's so complex, because nothing that helps people get through situations, even if it's a double edged sword is inherently all bad, just potentially all that and more. how do you lasso the tornado even if it eventually lands on Oz? As a recovering alcoholic myself I know about staring at the bottle. When my daughter died in '93 I nearly died from drinking. I sobered up in '95. I have not had a drink since. When my wife committed suicide in 2014 the first thing I wanted to do was drink. Even after almost 20 years the alcoholic in me was still there telling me that drinking would be ok and would kill the pain. Yeah it would kill the pain but would likely kill me as well. I have been through a lot in my life (I don't say this for attention or sympathy) and, quite honestly, I struggle everyday. Not to stay sober but to keep moving forward. I have had extending hospital stays, electroconvulsive therapy and take medication for bipolar disorder in addition to dealing with grief. But you know, with all that I have great friends, people who genuinely care for me and my well-being, I have a roof over my head, food in the fridge and of course my cat, Tilly. Could life be better? Sure it could but I know people who have had it way worse than me so I look at each day with a sense of gratitude.
I just hope that if anyone is struggling, remember, there is no shame in reaching out for help. All the best to everyone out there and thanks for reading if you got this far.

This band had so much talent. Unfortunately they insisted upon putting their music together the way they wanted to instead of the way their record company did. Subsequently, concrete blond where kind of ostracized Buy people that like to make generic one-size-fits-all tripe, instead of powerful and thoughtful music that has soul. I have eight years of recovery from alcohol, this song is written by someone who understands the hell of alcohol addiction.
