I got tired of waiting for the maintenance man from the apartment complex where I live to come and fix so I did this myself. Thank you for the very straight to the point instructions... I really appreciate it!
I had tried to remove the filter before but gave up because it seemed like the extension of the faucet holding the filter was just part of one seamless chrome faucet. After seeing your video I was convinced I hadn't tried hard enough and upon following your method, a successful filter removal and cleaning. Thanks very much.
Charles T I had same exact situation. The guy at Home Depot tells me to do it counter clockwise and I just didn't think it through. I'm not good with this stuff.
Stupid counterintuitive screwing. Thank you for posting this video. I was trying to screw it off the wrong way (which would normally be the correct way).
My kitchen faucet aerator doesnt screw off like that. There is nothing on the outside to unscrew. Its like all internal. Dont understand how to replace it except somehow using needle nose pliers or something to try to remove it from the inside. Does it even unscrew?
Thanks! Had a carpet cleaner come and use my faucet. My brand new Moen faucet which is exactly the one you are taking apart was spraying everywhere after they left. I didn't know which way to turn it to remove the aerator, which online on Moen says counter clockwise which is correct if you look at it from the bottom. Your video helped. BTW, they took my "O" ring with them. (sigh)
Awesome video straight to the point. I fixed the fauce and now off to do piles of dirty dishes. Who needs a man!? LOL Just kidding. I appreciate the help.
Righty-Tighty / Lefty-loosie This is usually how it goes I guess. But in this case, it’s reversed due to the positioning of the faucet. Therefore, he's turning it clock-wise (to the left) to loosen it
have a Moen Adler CA87530. I used all my strength with pliers to try to remove the aerator, and it will not come off. I even used WD-40 for 3 to 5 seconds, waited two minutes, and I still can't take it off.
Pure raw nonsense. At least half the faucets sold today are throwaway faucets with tamper resistant aerators made to make you buy a new faucet every few years when they crud up. Price make no difference. I suggest removing and reinstalling the aerator on new faucets before installing the faucet to make sure they give you the special tools.

I need to do the same; however I’m not sure if my aerator comes off! Doesn’t seem too. Are all aerators removable?

Picture the opening as if you look at it from the bottom of the bowl and then righty tighty, leftie loosie :)

You didn't show replacement.. only cleaning. Do you replace the whole aerator or only inside pieces?
Any idea if these aerators are universal? I need a replacement.
Omg thx so much!!! ❤👍

My tap is a fancy one it does not have anything to turn. How to change its aerator ?
Muchas gracias por éste vídeo. A ver si puedo resolverlo yo misma.
Question. I just replaced mine and I noticed the water pressure significantly changed. But I also noticed the previous aerator was in upside down

It's just slipping right through the pliers I'm using. Is it on just too tight? I need to install a water filter
Same, did you ever figure it out? :)
Thanks
My old one wont come off. Its stuck on there grrr
Man, if you're lucky your faucet head adapter has that much of a neck. Mine is very short and my channel locks cannot grip it.
cool I need to know this
I have old I have a Ola Delta kitchen profit
The correct title for this video would be "How to clean your faucet aerator"
I just came to see what tool they used cause holy fucking shit these adjustable wrenches are gone
mines stuck on tight, tried pliers and heat gun. most useless invention ever.
These videos don’t help if u tryna put it back on
Totally useless if the viewer can't see what you're doing
