It's been years, but I am still/always on the lookout for the vinyl soundtrack to this movie. Seriously underrated piece of music mainly because it was associated with a flop. I've actually found a new appreciation for the movie despite its flaws. Thanks for posting this.
A gorgeous score, by the great and immortal John Barry.....it is unfortunate that this score was so wonderful, composed by one of the masters of film music..yet this film was so awful,,,to the point of being painful to watch, which I did, just once. I have the soundtrack recording. That's enough for me!
I watched the movie recently - very slow to get going but I preferred it big time to the johhny depp version , which i thought was a piss take of the character
beautiful music , quite a nice companion piece to his later dances with wolves

Love this music beyond words. John Barry was one of a kind.

Barry's soundtrack for The Specialist, unfortunately, may be the best soundtrack for a bad movie of all time.
The score was only released on LP, no cd version available yet.....
anyone have an idea where to get the soundtrack cus nothing shows up under merle haggard nor john barry ????
