So glad i happened on t o your channel! My church background is one of Pentecostal churches early on ,and then for tge past 20 years Baptist congregations, stange bedfellows indeed! What i would call classic Pentecostalism,was / is not the same as the extreme Charasmatic/ NAR of today. We believed in the 9 gifrs of the Spirit, and that was about it. We didn't have laughing Revivals,gold dust,fire tunnels, grave soaking, slain in the spirit, head shaking,convulsions, ect,ect. Because of the heretical teaching and bizarre practices of tgese groups,i have pretty much abandoned any association with Pentecostalism,and am re- examing both my former doctrines and personal experiences. I woukd be happy to let go of spiritual gifts entirely, if only i could attend an assembly like yours. You seem to be very sound and well informed fir a younger man,( i say younger,become you look to be about 43,and im rubbing 68! Haha) again,im so grateful for your sound teaching and willingness to expose fakse teaching and teachers. Gid bless you brother, and all tge saints there!
I am a 53 year old woman who was raised with the charismatic Pentecostal signs and gifts focus! The one thing that kept me from believing it wholeheartedly was the amount of condemnation by them toward others! It was that condemnation and hypercritical Spirit along with a lack of what I considered to be the true grace of God which is kindness gentleness etcetera and because of those things lacking I did not fully embrace my upbringing. I am thankful now that God protected me from believing the LIE of the charismatic church that says if you don't speak in tongues you're not saved.
