His music has so much depth and feeling, to say the least. Peter is and always has been one of the most soul freeing artists out there to those who truly appreciate his incredible talent for song writing.
Wonderful Job, Man. I don't understand why you were not among the winners of the invitation of Peter Gabriel. Your work is amazing of beauty. Hope it will widely shared. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for the compliment. There were so many amazing entries. To be honest, I think I would have been ranked higher if the competition organisers had stuck to the original deadline but, hey ho, that's life. The important thing is having the inspiration to create, then moving on when the project's finished, armed with new skills and experience.
@@yobkulcha hi, may I ask you where you live? I'm musician (not professional), but I play with heart. I'm french. If there are possibilities of collaboration with you in 2024, I would be happy. I'll tell you more.
@@jerombird1614 I'm based in Scotland. I have a short film collaboration coming up and I have a few personal projects to work on, as well as taking care of business as a freelancer. If all goes well I might be up for other collaborative projects later in the year, but not right now. Keep in touch though, so I can hear what you're producing.
I thought that was a really great animation and interpreted the lyrics of the song in a visual manner excellently. I'm no expert but I think you nailed it. I hope that Peter Gabriel has seen it or somebody brings it to his attention if he hasn't.
First off, I have to say I'm a life-long fan of PG, and I like most of what I hear from the new album. However, I don't think these videos will sell the album. The music will stand or fall on how much people like the actual music !
The videos weren't made to sell the album. PG offered up several of his songs, old and new, for a competition exploring AI imagery because, as ever, he's deeply interested in emergent technologies and their role in the arts.
Are there deliberate Genesis references in there? I see visual references to Watchers if the Skies, I Know What I like, the Musical Box, the Lamb Lies Down and Foxtrot, maybe Visions of Angels
I was a 20 year old when I first heard Genesis in the early 70s .Peter was the band!!..I know Phil Collins took over from Peter but the true and original vibe was always from Peter gabriel.. The younger generation was more influenced by the Phil Collins version of the band..❤
@@s-l-o-t-hh-a-m-m-e-r907 Apart from the ones you mentioned, there's Nursery Cryme at around 43 sec. (you said Musical Box so that counts) . At 1:38 there's a mashup of the covers for PG2 and PG3. I think that's all the direct references to PG's work. I read somewhere that Gabriel was influenced by the art of Salvador Dali and Jackson Pollock so there are references to them at 1:35 and 3:10. He's also said that he's a fan of Arthur C. Clark so the bit at 1:48 is based on the work of Michael Whelan, who did the cover art for many of Clarke's books. To be honest, I've forgotten a lot of the thought processes I used to make this video. Throughout the animation there are numerous nods to art, literature, architecture, history, technology, religion, philosophy, medicine, astronomy, and more. Behind it all was the idea that being "just a part of everything" involves trying to make sense of the universe around us - making patterns out of the noise. This is also how Stable Diffusion works - the AI algorithms begin with noise and that noise is gradually shaped and refined into an image that we can understand. The first few seconds of the video are a reference to that process: The rabble of voices are also AI generated.
One of the better ai videos at least it follows the words and some bits a real clever but like a lot of theses type of vids slow the dam transformations down. It's like you cant focus my anything before its changing again and again and again
I agree. This style of animation can be frustrating to work with, and watch, as so many elements are AI generated and outwith the artistic control of the animator. This has improved in the 9 months since I made this video but there's still a long way to go. However, as always with AI, huge advances are just around the corner. Thanks for watching.
@@yobkulcha thanks for the informed reply from somebody on the inside. I loved the Peter gabriel melt album cover nod that was clever.most ai vids people hardly make an effort you did. Keep it up ai can only do so much human creativity is needed to guide it.
