So Andorra survived on being so insignificant to Spain and France, that it avoided being invaded by any of them.
Best way to avoid being invaded; be too insignificant to be worth the trouble.
Arabia avoided being eaten by the Ottomans the same way. For a time.
They literally at one point tried to appear 3 times poorer than they were to look unworthy of being invaded and ended up getting some peace and help lol. Indeed one of the main values there is to live very frugally since in essence they aren't Monaco, but a country in a Valley.
@@benthomason3307 Arabia sits on very valuable trade routes are holds the city of Mecca, quite literally the most important place in Islam. I would think Arabia would be a very enticing target for powerful muslim rulers to conquer as it would greatly boost their position among the Islamic world. Great explanation but the term "CATALONIANS" is not correct. Instead we are called "CATALANS" :)
Catalonians sounds better than catalans because the word "catalan" reminds me of cats and lawns. Cats should be indoor pets and not be allowed on any lawn, so "catalan" is wrong. My logic is best and anyone that says other wise just want people's cats to runaway when they're out on their lawns.
