      @@benthomason3307 Arabia sits on very valuable trade routes are holds the city of Mecca, quite literally the most important place in Islam. I would think Arabia would be a very enticing target for powerful muslim rulers to conquer as it would greatly boost their position among the Islamic world. The reason the Turks didn't take it over was because they had other lands around them that were easier to take over and enemies to fight like Austria, Russia, Spain and Persia; another reason is the Arabs don't particularly like being ruled by non-Arabs and especially not the Turks whose Sultan had taken the title of Caliph which the Arabs felt should belong to them.

    Great explanation but the term "CATALONIANS" is not correct. Instead we are called "CATALANS" :)

    • @dallascopp4798
      @dallascopp4798 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Catalonians sounds better than catalans because the word "catalan" reminds me of cats and lawns. Cats should be indoor pets and not be allowed on any lawn, so "catalan" is wrong. My logic is best and anyone that says other wise just want people's cats to runaway when they're out on their lawns.
