    The Italo disco, EBM and wave revival that has gripped dance floors in recent years has been accompanied by a resurgence in the reevaluation of another parallel genre: Belgian new beat. The ’80s style was developed in clubs like the legendary Boccaccio, and it’s known for fusing elements of techno, industrial and acid, and was pioneered by artists like A Split Second, The Lords of Acid and Fatal Error.

      So do I… as a well-skilled dj and connoisseur from the area of Antwerpen, 🇧🇪 . Nowadays almost 4 decades into vinyls. So apologies in advance, but a big middle finger to all current Pioneer DJ mediocre wannabes. They the ones who would rather ask former heroes like Kerri Chandler “daddy, what’s a record?!) #GFY🖕🏼…the current dj scene isn’t what it used to be anymore. Because you faggots forgot one bit thing: a dj is a DISC JOCKEY. I repeat: a ‘disc’ jockey. But where are the discs gone nowadays? On a usb stick to plug in a serial network of mediocre Pioneer (or worse: inferior Numark low-budget sh!te for starters, or worse?) … then like I proclaimed before, and now once again: the term DJ is not in order anymore, and requires another successor, since there aren’t any real deejay’s anymore, except those who still know the art of spinning vinyls! Think about that! 👿

    Is Liasons D - Heartbeat some version of Amnesia - Ibiza??? It sounds so similar, mixed with a split second - rigor mortis

    • @Yungrexy
      @Yungrexy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, it's a remixed version of KLF's *'What Time is Love?'.*

      @@Yungrexy Ah I can hear that now a lot of the chord progressions mimic each other, what a great sound

      Liasons D, best known from his major track “He Chilled Out” is nobody less than “Frank De Wulf” IRL. Just another aka like other of his projects e.g. Rhythm Device (Acid Rock), Linea Alba (Space Travel 1+2), Dow Jones (Just a Techno Groove), remixer of Rotterdam’s ‘Human Resource’ (Dominator) and so much more… he definitely played a key-role into the scene. All from the same genius from around the corner, including his B-Sides collection EP’s released by, and as, Frank De Wulf himself (still maintained nowadays). Weird that no one seems to notice this. …or have I missed something here? In that case, apologies in advance….. M.

    Man if they got rid of those lyrics, that age would have been more epic ! "Your parents make you sad" now I know how cringe must have felt when I was a kid.

    I'm from Europe, electronic fan since the 80's and a club Dj in the 90's. and this sentence has no sense. "EDM" which develop across much western Europe around 1990. EDM IS an American tag since 2010 more o less.... USA was prettty much non existence back in the day in the electronic club scene. No one said that Word EDM. Back in the the day there was techno, House, trance , techno pop, hardcore but noooo EDM. That's so fucking stupid.

    • @Yungrexy
      @Yungrexy  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm from Europe too... What the fuck are you waffling on about? Nobody mentioned EDM but you.
      Anything to say about the music, the videos or the compilation itself or do you save writing comments only for when you're miffed about something, or indeed nothing in this case?

    • @Yungrexy

      You have misread the description haven't you, I see what you have done so for clarity:
      *"What does EBM stand for in music?
      Not to be confused with EDM, electronic body music is a type of thudding, propulsive electro-industrial dance music that emerged in Europe in the 1980s. Learn more about the history and characteristics of EBM"*
      It was first coined by Ralf Hütter of Kraftwerk when talking about 'Die Mensch-Maschine' in 1978, to describe the album's more physical sound.

      No one has mentioned EDM.. only you? ..read above, clearly reads EBM !

      @@Yungrexyyeah man I know what EBM stand for!! ... I am fan of DAF , Liaisons Dangereuses, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb and many others from the beginning. The eDm thing is mentioned in YOUR intro.... But wathaver I dont want an argument for this stupid thing, I just need New Beat videos (but yeah, I hate that eDm murican thing and pretty much they have no idea of this kind of music back in the day)

    Question - why Liasons D - Heartbeat [1989] sound exactly like KLF - What Time is Love? What's the connection?

    • @Yungrexy
      @Yungrexy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is a semi-official remix. It's exactly the same apart from the lyrics.
