A deeply, dramatic moment from "Sex,Lies, and Politics" from Season 2,where Ally attempts to apologize to Georgia for kissing Billy, after he suddenly confesses to Georgia only minutes before in her office. Ally confesses that she has always loved Billy, that they were meant to love one another, yet not meant to be together. A logic I fail to understand. How can you known your heart, that you were meant to love someone, yet believe that you were also meant not to remain together? Even Georgia couldn't swallow that logic. The look on her face tells you that. Then she tells Ally that she knows the love Billy has had for Ally is still there, and will probably always be there. A fact even Ally confesses to. The real victim here is Georgia. My sympathy is with her, for having a husband who definitely loves her, but is in love with Ally, and has always been in love with her. When Georgia first met Ally in her office in the Pilot Episode, and Billy introduced her, she automatically knew there was something between them, and later went to Ally's apartment to confront her with her suspicions. Great acting here for Courtney -Thorne Smith as Georgia,in a scene where she has little to say, but her facial expressions tells it all. A great tragedy for all concerned,if Billy and Ally had been honest with each other from the beginning, all these romantic entanglements could have been averted.
