But the Pandemic changed all of that and people who never needed help before, need help. Some people have had their work hours cut, etc. Don't judge anyone who is trying to feed themselves or their family based on their circumstances. In this pandemic, we could all be just one paycheck away from needing EBT!
Sure enough I learned my lesson during the recession. Now I stock up and coupon like crazy at the dollar stores. I save as much cash as I can. I tell people all of the time that have been living paycheck to paycheck to follow Dave Ramsey's baby step plan. Dave Ramsey woke me all the way up.

We don’t have any coverage and I’m always working solo! I’m tired, exhausted, and I rarely see my family now a days. But I ride it out because the pay is decent. I have to stop and remember that I am not a robot and force my self to take a lunch, no matter how many calls I get that are “emergency”. Unless it’s a fire or flood, I always tell them, if they get mad because I didn’t do anything fast enough, to email my director and let him know the situation and to ask him “why one engineer is working alone in a huge 400 bed facility?” I sometimes pray my director will call me in his office and question my work ethics so I can unleash and tell him to stop thinking about his bonus and hire some help. He hasn’t questioned me yet but there’s always tomorrow. I’m not afraid to get fired if he retaliates but I think he knows that and he also knows good help is hard to find these days. Keep your chin up and do just enough but never too much.
Do you know that you can use your ebt card to get a grow garden, that was the highlight of my life. I can grow my vegetables at home especially with the pandemic.

Exactly! The best use of the pandemic EBT would be stocking up on meat since meat is so expensive. I used mine on ribeye steaks, strip steaks, and tenderloins at a local rural butcher shop. The steaks were on sale for $6.49 per pound which is unreal. Local Walmart and Kroger is at least $9.99 a pound up to $14.99 a pound. My husband and I make over $100k per year combined so we normally don’t qualify for any type of public assistance. But, since my daughter attends a public elementary school that offers every single student free breakfast and lunch, (regardless of income), we qualified for the pandemic EBT card. I figured I could get drinks and juice and stuff anytime, but meat is what costs the most during this pandemic. Just my opinion.
Actually the majority of foods that she got for her children are unhealthy foods or what we call them junk foods it will affected their brain development & their overall health.

We got like 570 or something. I was so grateful because my husband hours got cut but he couldn’t get unemployment. So I’m definitely stretching it to cover food for at least one month. I normally just buy water with flavored water packets and noodles for sure lol those are essential

Pennsylvania Sam's Clubs have great selection of fruits and vegs. I used my pandemic food stamps at Sam's Club and bought lots of fruits, salads, hydrating drinks, canned chicken breast for my "essential" job lunches/snacks. In Pennsylvania, I got extra pandemic food stamp $ and don't have children in school.

Peach McIntyre My 5 kids are between 10 and 19. Bad habits are very hard to change! We switched to a 100% sugar free diet back in January. 2 of my kids fought me a bit and one of my kids down right refused to eat girl!! Straight up refused!!! It was difficult, but eventually he got hungry. LOL. Back in May I let up on my strict sugar free diet and and started allowing some sugar, but I still won’t buy the sugar filled snacks and drinks. Instead I’ll buy Crystal light (instead of kool-aid) and diet soda (for treats) No cookies or cakes unless it’s a very special occasion like a birthday or something. I have learned to make sugar free cake with a cool whip topping! Yummy!! So, if you want to make the change, maybe start by doing it slightly. I’d also like to add that I LOVE your energy!!! I’m also from FL to. Hope you all are staying healthy. I also do Sam’s Club hauls and cooking videos.

We got like 570 or something. I was so grateful because my husband hours got cut but he couldn’t get unemployment. So I’m definitely stretching it to cover food for at least one month. I normally just buy water with flavored water packets and noodles for sure lol those are essential

Dzejna Lukovic My husband job didn’t fire him, let him go or anything. All they did was tell him to come to work and see if he gets sent home. And so we never had a definite answer of when he wasn’t working til the day of. So of course that’s difficult to tell to the unemployment office

here its water from the tap ( faucet ) with no added sugar squash ( cordial , really cheap ). Personally I would be stocking up on basics and cooking from scratch

A lot of people don’t know that sams club has a app where you can scan the items as your putting them in your cart and when your done you just pay on the app. You don’t have to wait in line .

Pennsylvania Sam's Clubs have great selection of fruits and vegs. I used my pandemic food stamps at Sam's Club and bought lots of fruits, salads, hydrating drinks, canned chicken breast for my "essential" job lunches/snacks. In Pennsylvania, I got extra pandemic food stamp $ and don't have children in school.

Peach McIntyre My 5 kids are between 10 and 19. Bad habits are very hard to change! We switched to a 100% sugar free diet back in January. 2 of my kids fought me a bit and one of my kids down right refused to eat girl!! Straight up refused!!! It was difficult, but eventually he got hungry. LOL. Back in May I let up on my strict sugar free diet and and started allowing some sugar, but I still won’t buy the sugar filled snacks and drinks. Instead I’ll buy Crystal light (instead of kool-aid) and diet soda (for treats) No cookies or cakes unless it’s a very special occasion like a birthday or something. I have learned to make sugar free cake with a cool whip topping! Yummy!! So, if you want to make the change, maybe start by doing it slightly. I’d also like to add that I LOVE your energy!!! I’m also from FL to. Hope you all are staying healthy. I also do Sam’s Club hauls and cooking videos.
