I was pleasantly surprised by the octaver effect in the Catalyst 60. Also, I love how the introduction of the CX has lowered first-gen prices on the used market. I recently picked one up for pin money, and it sounds great with the new firmware!
Hello and thanks for the demo. I have been struggling with my Catalyst to get the tone I would like. I just heard it with this video. I do have an SG with the burst bucker pros and will set them on the bridge pick up - I will assume your pups are close. Can you please share your settings in the your opening solo demo? Thanks again. Bob.
I love the catalyst series but there is one main problem I have. Why won’t they add a wah effect? And there is a slight problem I have. I still play through a flextone 3xl and my D.I. Has its own volume that is independent of the main volume. I probably could live without the D. I. Feature but I don’t wanna have another pedal on the floor when I already use an fcb 1010 for the flextone and a blueboard for my iPad.
@@BenjaminRoethig You're welcome. I actually bought mine off of Amazon for $320 ($80 off MSRP) one week before Line 6 made the CX announcement. I thought I would be sending the "legacy" Catalyst back until I saw that they added all the CX features to the "legacy" line.
Being that you can store 2 presets for recall, can the "manual" setting be initiated via midi... and does the amp retrieve the information you have entered in manual mode when switching between a saved preset and back to manual during the powered up status? That is to say, whenever the amp is powered down it's understandable that the manual settings will default to "neutral", but what happens to your manual setting when toggled between manual and presets during the same powered on session?
I have a FCB-1010, I have spent hours and hours trying to get it to control my Line HX Stomp only to become so frustrated with it that I've chucked it back under my desk and left it there for months. I understand the usefulness of MIDI, but getting it to work is a nightmare. I have not considered adding the chip to the FCB-1010, does that make programming it any easier?
Perfecto you are Perfecto!. Love the line 6 but your Yamaha!!!Bro i think god made a mistake, that yamaha sounds too good, but maybe it's just that you are a bad ass player?(wich is entirely the case for sure.) Thanks for your videos Brother!!!!
It’s easy if you think about it as a numbers matching game. Assign the number of the effect command you want to a footswitch and step on it everytime your whim calls for it 🙂

Midi amp control is so awesome!

Yeah, I feel it’s missing that, too. It could easily be one of the available Pitch/Filter efx
Perfecto, other than visuals have you noticed any differences in the CX over the original except for the new 2.0 firmware?
Nothing really, with the new firmware update the old Catalyst will function the same way.
@@OfficialPerfectoDeCastro thank you!
@@BenjaminRoethig I can confirm. I have the "legacy" Catalyst 100 and it works identical to the CX.
@@keithbenedict8764 thank you. I'll definitely be looking for a used OG catalyst then

The chip makes it easier to to assign the top row to individual stomp control but it’s still clunky to program.
How to connect guitar and FCB1010
can you list the best price midi foot controller for this amp?
I haven't tried it but this looks promising amzn.to/3VfX3hR
Lol I was just setting my fcb1010 with my new catalyst
