Morning Andy , went out this morning at 5 for a true recovery run (started using the COROS Threshold HR for my easy and recovery to ensure I am ready for the hard sessions ) and got back to see you posted a new vid.. as I am having a coffee I would virtually invite you to join me .. have a good one.
You’ve got this!!! Our training paces have been pretty similar recently and I just hit 1:13:18 at Warwick half last Sunday despite a mild illness. It was hilly (as I told you previously) but conditions were great.
This has been helpful for my training for the Gloucester half at the end of March. Looking good Andy. I work in miles too so it's always easier to follow your workouts 😂
Really interesting workout this one Andy! I have in a similar one in my peak week for London marathon 4 weeks out .. 10 miles warm up - 3x5km getting faster each rep. Good luck in your half in a few weeks time. Hoping for good weather for you!!
You’re flying! Loving the confidence, too. Question if you don’t mind: What is the maximum amount of half marathon pace miles you would do in a long run 2 weeks out from a half marathon race? I’ve got a fairly hilly half so was going to do some steady miles and then do HMP for the second half (which is flatter). The half I’m racing is Cambridge, so it’s flat
Why don’t you consider your TT at a local parkrun wherever is flat/fast, bit of a semi competitive nature will surely help.
Andy my half pb is 71.53 and I never was able to hit paces like u are at d moment, ur flying it, believe in urself, u can smash it

Wow incredible time on that course!! I saw a few videos and it has some big hills so that’s a huge time 👊

Amazing work mate, you must be so chuffed. You SHOULD be confident, you've practiced the hill climbs and you've put the hay in the barn.

How about, 16min, all out... 3k? 😄💪
