It must be so satisfying growing your own food, have never seen such gigantic garlic lol you should be so proud of yourself!
It is! Especially after almost 8 months of waiting! Thank you!!
Girls who get excited about garlic 🙌🙌 so wholesome 💕
Spacing 8 inches, fish and seaweed fertlizer, foliage spray fertilizer
Your garlic excitement is infectious 😂 you should put together something that explains what you did differently that made it such a good harvest!
She did say she spaced them out more, and started fertilizing in late Feb. cause it was warmer.
Thank you!!
Would love to see how you fertilize stuff like this when it isnt foliar. That's always the hard part for me, it takes forever
Amazing harvest!! All your hard work is paying off 😊
Thank you so much!
I had my best garlic year as well. That soft neck variety is phenomenal
Congrats!! Such a good feeling!
I just harvested my garlic too! Your video makes me think that next year I need to grow some Georgian Fire!

Your excitement is contagious and makes me excited to get some garlic and onions planted for next year! My wife is always burning through garlic and seeing how much you grew makes it a better deal to grow vs buy
The flavor is unmatched!! No going back once you grow your own!
You have me excited to grow garlic next year!!! Those heads were beautiful!!! NOW, please inform us how each tastes ..maybe roasted and raw in a dressing or something. You are amazing, and so fun to watch and learn!

Thank you!!
Good job!
Thanks!
That's great good luck 😊
Thank you! 😄
Giiirrrrrrrlllllll❤!!!!
So happy for you Bre 🎉 i miss the sunflowers but the garden is looking beautiful with the snapdragons
Hopefully should have some sunflowers blooming in the next month!
Such a fantastic harvest! Its great to see a small change produce a big result. Think I need to follow your spacing as I tend to crowd my garlic as well.
Watching with interest from Oz.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome job with your garlic! A few things I've had luck with are digging up the heads instead of pulling them by hand. Yeah, it's fun and it makes a great noise, but I've had a lot of tears with the softneck varieties. If I damage the stem it doesn't store very long. I also take pictures of my painter's tape, because life happens and tape doesn't always stay put. Especially in my garage. :)
Thanks for the great video!
This is inspiring! I’ve been gardening since 2021 in 6b. I just preordered 2lbs of garlic last week so I can finally grow a large amount for my garlic loving partner haha. I hope to have this success next year!
Wishing you the best!! Nothing like homegrown garlic!
Yay! Your garlic looks awesome! I grew it this last year for the first time and just harvested yesterday. I grew 13 heads, lol 😅 But like yours, they were huge. I was super excited that I did it!!
Thank you! & That is awesome! Congratulations!!
Wow!
Those are fantastic garlic heads.
Mine should be ready in about a month.
Hope they com pare to yours
Thank you! & Wishing you a great harvest as well!
This is my second season attempting garlic. Last year I planted in the spring and the bulbs were so so tiny that I harvested. This round I planted last fall and there are still a few that look like they’ll be small, but a couple of them look like they’ll be massive! I’m so excited! I’ll definitely be taking your suggestions into consideration for next year. My only issue with spacing is that I’m really limited on space, so I try to pack everything in as tight as possible. Maybe this next planting I’ll put garlic in every bed rather than trying to just get them all into two beds.
Glad to see someone as excited about their garden harvests as I am!!!😁 👩🏻🌾👌. Your garlic looks amazing!!! I’m hoping mine turns out too!!😅
Its the best part! Hope you have a great harvest this year!
❤❤❤ beautiful garlic
Thank you!
Beautiful Garlic😁🇦🇺
Thank you!
Awesome Job Bre !! Think you are on to something good with that fish food ! Congratulations !! 😊❤❤😊

im soo nervous to pull mine.. I pulled a few and they were so small ..It's my 1st time. Yours look so awesome..I will implement what you did next time
Hope you have a great harvest!
Love it. Where do you buy you garlic sets?
I get all my seed garlic from Mad River Garlic Growers
Wow!! Great garlic harvest!! what kind of fertilizer did you use and how often?
Thank you! I used Neptunes Harvest fish and seaweed. Its linked in my amazon store front in the description box - under garden favorites. When growth started in spring every 7-14 days I sprayed until mid may sometime when scapes appear.
Please link where to buy the Georgian fire garlic, thanks!!! Great job!!
Ive always gotten my seed garlic from Mad River Garlic Growers
Hey Y'all, This is the first time I found your channel and the first one I watched. Wow that is really great garlic. Yours look similar to mine. I also want to grow softneck for the first time when I plant this fall. I am about 5 years growing garlic also. I have planted, Vietnamese Red, Korean Red, Chesnok Red, Armenian, German Xtra Hardy and Persian Star.
Question where do you order your Garlic from? I live in Minnesota and get my garlic seed from Wisconsin Keene Garlic. I am always curious to find new varieties that they may not have. So glad to find your channel you did a great job growing garlic and a great job making this video. I did subscribe and look forward to the future videos.
I guess I need to keep watching your videos to see what I need to do to grow good garlic bulbs. I pulled a few the other day and they were puny looking and so not sure what I did wrong. First time growing them. I used cloves from the grocery store and planted them in my compost pile.
They are super heavy feeders & love lots of sun in my experience!
@@itsbreellisthey're in full sun but what is heavy feeders?
They need frequent fertilizer application.
@@di4085you’d be better off growing them in a bed or planters; if a bed you can make sure there is well composted manure mixed in your soil or compost to help feed them while they grow (I amend heavily and haven’t needed extra feed for a good harvest) or in planters you will need to get a fertiliser and feed them regularly. You can get a garlic fertiliser or Bre used a fish and seaweed fertiliser for hers I believe. Spacing is important too, so remember to give them enough space between cloves to have good airflow and room to grow. Good luck growing for next year 🌱
@@sarahtrew9331 Thanks for the tips.
I was growing them in the compost pile but I had them really close together. Is it okay to use grocery store garlic cloves or should I order? I actually have a fish fertilizer.
Well done! Can you share where you ordered your garlic from? Thank you!
I get all my seed garlic from Mad River Garlic Growers
❤ it looks like a pokemon lol but it's amazing huge it's phenomenal!!
What brand of Fish and Seaweed did you use? And how often did you apply? Thanks!
Neptunes Harvest fish and seaweed. Its linked in my amazon store front in the description box - under garden favorites. When growth started in spring every 7-14 days
I just love your content with gardening, I was wondering if you can share what type of microphone you use in your videos and what camera, the quality sounds so good even when your far away!!
Thank you! Its the DJI Wireless. I have them linked in my amazon store front in the description box if your interested. Should be under the Filming Category
Man your making me want to harvest my garlic lol but no i must use self control lol im still a wk or 2 out and probably over planted so the family gets some fresh garlic this year for sure. I still have some frozen from last year's harvest, it feels good to be able to share tho

Do you have a video abt, if not could you shoot one...thank you....your videos are very inspiring
she said she was going to do one.....curing it...then putting in basement.
Step one is in this video. Curing. This will last the next 3-5 weeks then Ill get it all cleaned up which Ill show. Ill also prob throw together a full garlic video start to finish
@@itsbreellis great thank you
That's alot of garlic what percentage of you total produce is garlics? I'm about 80% heavy on an assortment of peppers about 550 planted so far
❤❤❤
Bree I saw a video the othe day where the Chinese people eat the young luffa plants thought you might be interested
Yes, I need to try it!
New follower here. 🤗 Girl! I think you need a little more garlic. Ha Ha. What state are you located if you dont mind sharing. Looks like you are able to grow a wide variety! I'm located towards the North of Utah so its damn hot here. Happy Gardening & thanks for sharing.😊
I think she's in Kansas...but could be wrong.I was watching an early video and she mentioned it briefly.
Yup, I could actually grow more. This will typically get me close to a year but not quite yet. Kansas!
Where did you order your garlic from? I ordered from Keene garlic. This will be my first time planting
mad river garlic growers is who I've always ordered from.
Amazing!! Did you get your garlic locally or did you buy it from a website? Also what kind of fertilizer did you use? I’d love to try it also!! Thanks for sharing 😊
I was wondering the same thing... if the garlic is online for everyone else too
I get all my seed garlic from Mad River Garlic Growers as far as fertilizer goes Its Neptunes Harvest Fish & Seaweed. Its linked in my amazon store front in my bio. Under Garden Favorites.
@@itsbreellis thank you so much I’m definitely going to try it for my next round of growing garlic 😄
What brand is that tank top? It looks like what I'm trying, and failing, to find.
I'm envious of your garlic! The two times I tried growing it, the critters ran off with it.
Thank you! Its from lululemon. Ive had it for 7+ years and still in great shape!
@@itsbreellis Why didn't I think to look there?! Thanks!
How long does it take for the garlic to be ready to pick?
Around 8 months give or take
Sorry if you've already answered this in a previous video...but where did you get your hose?
Hoselink.com
Thank you!! You're videos and content it great.
What fertilizer did you use?
Neptunes Harvest fish and seaweed. Its linked in my amazon store front in the description box - under garden favorites.
What do you use as mulch?
EZStraw
Which zone is Bre growing in? TY
7
Is this enough for the year
Close! I powder some down. I would prob need about 1 garden bed more for 100% a years worth between fresh eating/garlic powder. I use garlic in almost everything
Why do you not do this in your basement? I was planning to do this in my basement.
where did u get ur garlic from?
Ive always ordered my seed garlic from mad river garlic growers
youve definitely grown bigger heads Miss Bre
🎈🎈🎈❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What do you do to save garlic seed?
You save the biggest bulbs and plant those in the fall
@@sewcleverr but do you also cure them or do anything different?
Yup still cure them and store in a cold dry place until planting
Why you call it chessnok not garlic? I’m asking because in Poland we call it czosnek (chosnek), so simillar 🥰
Its the variety name of that garlic
How old are you? I am
amazed about what you are doing. ❤
Thank you! 31
😍🥰👍👍👍🌿🌿
Just pulled one today… it was too early because the garlic hadn’t split yet. It looked like a mini onion lol. They look horrible though! They look dead and falling over 😞
How much of the leaves have turned brown?
If they didn't form cloves, the plants didn't get enough time in cold weather to develop. They won't get very big, but they will still taste good.
Hey Bre, Where did you get your Georgian Fire seed from? I want to try the Inchelium Red softneck variety that you grew this year Did you like it?
This is my second season attempting garlic. Last year I planted in the spring and the bulbs were so so tiny that I harvested. This round I planted last fall and there are still a few that look like they’ll be small, but a couple of them look like they’ll be massive! I’m so excited! Maybe this next season I’ll put garlic in every bed rather than trying to just get them all into two beds.
I think I’ll do the same with onions too, then once the garlic is ready, the onions will have the space they need to form their bulbs as well
Ive had the same experience. I always want to grow more than Im able to. For years I would space so close and I started to notice things not doing as well. This year I spaced farther apart on almost everything and its seemed to help me tons.
