I love pumpkin. That fudge in right up my alley. I make a pumpkin applesauce, mostly for Fall, that pairs beautifully with pork dishes. When we get fresh pumpkins, I roast the seeds, bake the flesh for different recipes and squeeze out about 95% of the pumpkin water to make pumpkin cider. The pumpkin cider in the stores only contain pumpkin flavoring. Plus, pumpkin is great for your digestion. Especially if you're running too fast or too slow.
Thanks for this recipe. Just made the first batch, it’s setting up in the fridge now. The first time I had pumpkin fudge many years ago and fell in love with it. Can’t wait for this to be ready to eat. Already have everything I need for two more batches. Because it’s so easy to make I think this is going to be a regular sweet tooth filler. Great way to kick off fall. Update: just cut this up and had a couple pieces. It is fantastic,and your right it is really creamy. This definitely is not going to last long at all. Double batches from here on out.

Perfect timing, My eldest grandson birthday is coming up in November and he is a true fall baby. Loves the fall flavors especially pumpkin. I make him pumpkin pies for his birthday and other occasions like graduation, a goodbye pie when he left for the Marines and one when he graduated from the Marines and when his son was born. Oh my! This brings me back to being a little girl and making penuche fudge with my grandma. I miss her so much! Her home was filled to overflowing with unconditional love. She was a wonderful lady with the biggest heart.
My mama used to make all kinds of flavor fudges. She would sift a very light coating of powdered sugar on her plate to keep the fudge from sticking to it. Funny how a video can bring back a forgotten memory.

Mrs. Lori, I know this has nothing to do with your fudge, but I'm so excited that I just have to share with you. The other day a friend of mine had died and my church was feeding the family. I was asked to bring a cake. Every cake I thought of to make, I ended up no havin all the ingredients. So I thought for awhile 🤔. I went in my kitchen and gathered up several things and made a cake without a recipe. I made my version of a pumpkin 🎃 cake 🎂. It was so moist and delicious 😋. Everyone loved it. My boyfriend tried it and loved it. Now I just have to try to remember everything I used and the amount I used and write it down. You are such an inspiration to me on how to be a better cook and provider for my household. I just had to share this. I love what you make and the love you put in it. God bless you both.
