Idk who came up with these short conversations, but each and every one of them is interesting/entertaining, and adds a lot of depth to the relationship between GV and Joule.
I like the conversations in Gunvolt because they add character development and make players not take side characters for granted since you can't see past conversations at the end of the game. I do recommend looking into the CD dramas if you want more lighthearted filler content. 😊

The wild bird's name being mushroom is a reference to the green bird side quest in ZX I guess where you have to find a bird named mushroom and give it back to a girl..ZX was made by inti creates as well.
Why doesn't my Switch version have this conversations?! EDIT: Found it in the languages option menu... after finishing the game... which required me dying again and again. Urgh! I'll... rest a bit before experiencing the story again with the revised translation and JP voices.

Sakura Efflorescence; that's the name of the song(pink cars makes sense as well, since the cherry blossoms is pink as well(although I'll say it's a bit more towards white-pink; there's some history between the cherry blossom flowers and fallen warriors, but that's a story to tell another day).). It became my personal favorite since, since there's association with one of my original characters, whose (legendary) codename were named after it. It's difficult to find really good ones these days, especially those geared for battles....
