This is great! I love doing all sorts of things for our birds. My latest is organic, unsweetened almond butter, dandelion greens, milk thistle seeds and a little organic hemp hearts. My dandelion greens come from my plants I grow on my lanai, no insecticide or any chemicals. I also incorporate dandelion flowers when they’re in bloom. I also grow small roses, same way as the dandelions. I love to harvest some of the buds for the birds. My birds also really like organic, non gmo human grade lavender. I love giving a diverse diet.
Hey guys! My friend corrected me! It is raw honey that shouldn’t be fed to parrots. Of course, I don’t really like using pasteurized, but there can be a bacteria in the honey that parrots should not eat. For me, I avoid the issue by just not feeding them any.

Jan, your birds are blessed! I don’t have dandelions- but I love the idea of growing some things for my birds- wish I had the space and time.
I hope it will be a
