Forgot to mention the printing method for this design is DTG which is what REPRESENT use too 🤙
really? where do you get the information? a lot of represent reviews said the printing feels like its in the cotton which means its likely not dtg since dtg is kindof a solid finish. btw i just heard represent are hiring designers! you should try and reach out to them bruh fr!
@@setia1653 A lot of their designs are full-color, so there's no way screenprinting can achieve that. Not to mention, some higher end DTG printers have the same print quality as screenprint too.
@@IntuitiveDesigns represent never use DTG, some of their designs use 4/5 different screens👍

Hey Dixon! Thanks for makin these videos! I’ve been designing some things on photoshop following your tutorials but I’ve come across a hiccup when trying to get these designs printed on clothing. They’re suggesting designs done on Illustrator instead of PS but I can’t get the same vibe with vector work. Any suggestions on this would be much appreciated!
Hey there, I always design in PS, and as long as you meet the print requirements ie size and color gamut, it should be fine. The design in this tutorial is meant for DTG printing, not screenprint. A few things to avoid when designing for DTG is transparent elements, this is the common mistake that people do when designing for shirts. Try googling it for the full specs or send me a DM on IG.
Can you do a tutorial that goes a little more in depth about the threshold/ adjustment layer / merge / color select technique. (4:40) (9:40). It looks simple enough, but I'm not seeing exactly whats happening here. Hopefully my question makes sense lol. Thanks! We appreciate your content!
it makes perfect sense! at 4:40 the starburst photo lacks details, so by adding noise it fixes that before the threshold. you can test it you and see what I mean. at 9:40 I just wanted those crack lines so that's why I drag the cursor to the left to get that. I'll be more thorough in my next video but just know that the video will be longer. hope that helps!

depending on your DTG printer, a lot of them support sRGB nowadays, so why bother changing to CMYK?

Where do you find the photos for your desings and does the resolution of them matter on printing ?
resolution always matter my guy, 300dpi at least. I get photo assets from envato elements, but free stock sites like unsplash, pexels and pixabay work too. NEVER USE GOOGLE DONT BE A BIH

not sure because i dont use ipad. but from my experience, these advanced designs can only be done on computers.

i linked the paper texture photo but i don’t know if i did it the same way as you but it didn’t turn out like yours did
i pressed shift and clicked on both layers then pressed the link button

when expanding the dog neck with the brush tool it doesn't work i followed all the steps
I get this issue a couple times. Usually it's because you brush over the image of the dog and not on the mask layer. Brushing it on the mask layer like in the video will fix that issue. Take a look again at the video.
