I would tell him he's lucky I didn't show up to compete in this race this year because I would have finished in 3 minutes flat and taken gold. Then I would have gone to the nearest gym and repped 855 on incline bench without wrist wraps to celebrate. Beefcake!! BEEFCAAAAKE!!!!!!!

All of Canadian MTB is so very proud of Finn! His drive to be the best and to carry on the legacy of Stevie Smith has always been there. Today it became reality. The future of Canadian DH is bright and strong, thanks to Stevie and Finn. Nothing but love for ya Finn! Well done lad, well done!
What a ride from Laurie Greenland as well! No one came even CLOSE to him until Finn's run. Literally fifteen riders came and went without getting within FIVE SECONDS of Greenland's run except Brosnan's third place which was still over two seconds off. And not a single French rider in the top 8, which is VERY strange to see.
And then Finn, well, what can you even say he did it all!! And without a chain in the last third of the track or so. I can't even understand how that happened. Great track, great race

Concur. Wouldn't have been the same without Laurie's near unbeatable time.
French riders all went down either in quali (Vergier, Bruni) and in in finals (Pierron, Coulanges). Daprela and Levesque are 9th and 10th though.
And don't forget Minaar that kissed a tree... This makes a lot of top riders out of the course!

Men´s DH todays win has been one of the most epic wins I´ve seen in a long time. Great riding, emotional for being CAN and first win, and oh boy, the chain-less win drama. Thanks Finn, you´ve made my day.
I am so happy for Finn, this was such a special race for him. Also very fortunate to have it this year and to have Rob and Elliot on the commentary to call this amazing run and we will always have it to come back and enjoy just like Stevie’s run from 2013. Well deserved for Finn and long live chainsaw 🤘🏼

Honestly one of the best wins i’ve ever seen, both me and the misses had tears of joy for Finn, what a legend, and the legacy of the great Stevie Smith made it even more emotional.

Finn's run is going to go down as one of the greatest runs of all time because he still won on such a hard track with his chain off for half of it!
At the finish line, as we all watched Finn on the big screen.. At each split as the clock kept going green, everyone would erupt! And then once he crossed the line wow, thee entire mountain popped the cap and lost it! What an amazing race, Finn For The Win!

They aren't hiding anything. Covering suspension/linkage designs, for prototype frames is common practice. Until a final design is decided. I'd bet Finn's Demo will be a production model withing the next year.
It's a chain disconnect feature. They don't want anyone to know that pedaling is overrated. Next prototype will have foot pegs instead of pedals.

@@ianlarson1995 Yeah I think around 4:40 when he hits the bottom of that drop hard. He pedals once after that but it looks like his pedals just turn freely and that's when he realized it was off and stops pedaling.

@@johnd0e25 Halfway down was an exaggeration, but I think it happened around 4:40 in this video when he lands hard at the bottom of a drop. He pedals once afterwards but it looks like there is no resistance and he probably realized right then because he stopped pedaling completely after that.

What is the length of the track?
If Cami can't race at Val di Sole, Vali wins Overall if she takes 1st or 2nd in the race, regardless of where Myriam finishes. If Myriam wins the race, she gets the Overall if Vali finishes 3rd or lower.
(I haven't done the math for if neither of them wins the race or if Cami makes it back for the race.)
